I pretty sure that the Rainforest is
a type of aeroponics system, however it is designed specifically for successfull rooting
of cuttings, so if you've got an old lady you want clone I say go for it, The Rainforest has won a bunch of awards and stuff.

Hey guys,

First post here---very impressive site-----don't know who runs it but nice job.

Asume your talking about the rain forest made by General Hydroponics---check out their site for pics and sizes.

I've used the model 242 (42 2" plastic cups positions on the lid). Great for starting seed in grorocks. Thing holds 18 gallons so be carefull with weight (gallon weighs 8 pounds).

The motor on the lid has a vertical shaft that "slings" the nutes outward to the sides-----great way to oxygenate the nutes. Different lid options allow for larges pots to be used for larger plants.

Other nice features include an external valve for drain and a "sight" tube to check nute level.

Overall I think a very nice design---and no I don't work for GH.

Hi, I just started using rainforest 36. It has 6- 3inch baskets.
After 2 weeks the seeds grew into short very wide plants.
So much better than soil. And much easier to water.
The speed they are growing is so fast. I'm really enjoying
gardening way more. I plan to grow to 18 inches & then
start flowering. After weeding out the males there might only
be 3 plants left. I'll plug the empty 3 holes. The smell after only 2
weeks is so strong. Bye

Hey LB, Thanks for the welcome----much appreciated.

As much as I yak about the rainforest, GH should as least throw me some nutes----hua?

Honestly, when I'm done trying to invent the world's best "mouse trap" for weeds then I'll probably relax and run a couple of these things under a 1K.

Enough nute volume to ignore for a few days and valve access for flush and reload. If you just want to chill and grow a little world class smoke and got the bucks for the tools----then nuf said.
