Talking

hey guys, i'm a newbie hydro grower, and after several years of growin outside, i'm finally gonna take the inside-challenge.

i've decided to use the bubbler, found at http://www.overgrow.com/iss2/bubbler.html. Now, my question is>> i'm wondering what different techniques you guys have used to keep the water level at it's proper... level, and what works best for you guys, full water 24/7 or water 12/7, etc... you get the jist.

thanks buds

Mornin dude
DWC i myself have not used one but it works on very similar
principals So i would keep my water levels constant and ferts to a maximum of 1.6-1.8 ec then you will see some decent results higher ec 2.0-2.4 slows the plants down.water on 24/7.
keep on tokin QHC

hey dankinx,
this should help you out for the design (its pretty automated after you fill up the reservoirs every so often on the right):

this picture is by rasta from "the edge" forum (on the overgrow site)

and this is my 3d perception except i thought i could be smart and not have to include the smart valve, i was wrong. especially also by having the overflow pipe going into the top reservoir (which will cause all three buckets on the left to over flow), i don't understand fully about the air stones and thats why I haven't put them in my design yet, once i fully understand rasta's design then ill incorporate it into my future grow cabinet

here is a picture of what my cabinet looks like. I am only going to have 4 bubblers in it, and the reservoirs will be outside of the cabinet.

I hope this helped you out dankinx. Does anyone have suggestions for: my DWC bubbler design, or my cabinet, or information about the pump and airstone used in the DWC bubbler. Because I also don't know if I'm supposed to have a air pump going into the grow buckets?

Lightbulb

hey aussie, that's a sweet design you've got there in the first picture...pretty similar to a design I made (haven't actually built it, just a design) for keeping the water level constant in my hydro systems...nice to know that I wasn't crazy and that somebody else had the same bulb flash over their head
