My AeroSpring started to leak at the two sides where the 1/2" PVC passes through. I came up with a partial fix then made a new chamber using a modified design.

The problem was that the internal spray was spraying directly on the joint between PVC sprayer pipe and the tote's side. Water dripped through the hole. The partial fix was to cut a 7/8" hole in a plastic milk bottle top and use it like a washer.

There were two design changes:

1. The new design incorporates Gimmikk's modification to remove one hole in the chamber. See the left side of the drawing.

2. It also uses a threaded adaptor and a threaded elbow to pass the pipe through the right side of the chamber. Using a black-riser-plastic elbow allows this to be screwed flush to seal against water loss. The added cost is minimal.

Thought you'd like to know.

I added a couple 90 degree elbows to my system so the hose would attach more easily. The seven web baskets you see are 3.5" and available from some hydroponic stores for about $0.80 each. They are the same as some AquaMist baskets.

I still need a pump but this picture shows where it goes.

hey scrub, thats a nice system, i might have to duplicate. Would this work better than a bubbler? Also do u have sprayers pointed downwards too? Is the pipe running outside of the tub used for flushing out the nutes? Nice Work! What strain u plan on working with?

My AeroSpring does include a bubbler per InsaneK9's example. I'm in my second grow with the system. I like it. I have a bubbler-only system running in my clone closet but I cannot compare the two as the clone closet has inferior lighting. So, "does it work better than a bubbler?" Probably not. I like it because it stores less water and is easily flushed.

The system I use has five sprayers across the top and four across the bottom. The system you see in this picture only has the top row of sprayers. If the spray is too harsh I will add two to four sprayers below. Does it make a difference? I don't think so.

The pipe on the outside is for flushing the system. I think that this is a big plus over bubbler systems.

My first grow was Big Bud. You can see that pictorial under Visual Inspirations. The thread is "First AeroSpring Grow--Using Big Bud." I learned a lot from the grow and mark it as a success. (http://www.hempcultivation.com/420/s...?threadid=8011)

My current grow is Northern Lights x Shiva. That thread is under Grow Journals. It is "Northern Lights X Shiva via Aeroponics." (http://www.hempcultivation.com/420/s...threadid=10356)

Yes the ScrOG went very well. I did a few things wrong but I think that it is the best for my confined space, even with using seeds. I need to change my ScrOG screen however. I need to make it height adjustable.

I'm not a good judge of smoke quality. That said, the first harvest was too early and the smoke was minimal. As for the last plant harvested, I had a guest over who assured me that it was 'Chronic.' I found that it compared favorably with that which my guest contributed.

Hello all....

Here is a photo of my AeroSpring... You'll notice that the manifold has been turned on it's side and the red caps of the sprayers were removed because they kept 'dribbling'. This way jets of water hit the wall next to and under the net pots creating a lot of splash and a kind of mist. I've added a power head with a venturi valve to curculate and add oxygen to the water. Works AWESOME!! Still looking for some spray heads that work better...
