![]() | Hello fellas. This is my first post, but ive been reading for a month now Well anyways im going to build me an aeroponics system. After searching google I cam across these h**P://dripirrigation.com/cgi-bin/SoftCart.exe/dripstor/prodpages/mist/mi003.htm?E+drip1 My first question is 1.) will they work 2.) What kind of pump will i need to power them? ("Fogger-Mister, 3/4 gallon per hour (gph), Barbed Connection, 360 degree. Use this mister with line pressures of 35-80 psi to reduce the ambient air temperature. Each fogger covers an area of 2'-4' with a droplet size of 60-80 microns) Thank you, sTiNkFiSt Last edited by sTiNkFiZzLe; 10-07-2003 at 06:59 PM..

![]() | I am new to aeroponics, but just trying to help with the stuff that I think I know. In response to your first question, they will work, the smaller the droplet size the better. As for the rest I say it all depends on how many heads you are going to have on your pipe, and how long your pipe is, generally the stronger the better, because you can create back pressure valves to realease some pressure. A pretty common rating I have been reading about is anywhere from 300-500 gph. Many people on the 500 side say it is a little too powerful, but it all depends on how many misters you will be using. Good luck. ![]()

![]() | Thanks for the quick reply. Im thinking about using 8 of those mister heads. It says each one uses 3/4 gallon per hour so i think that would work well for a 400 gph pump. I just wasnt sure about the PSI of these pumps. Also I found this head on the same site ? h**p://www.dripirrigation.com/cgi-bin/SoftCart.exe/dripstor/prodpages/micro/ms007.htm?L+drip1+lnnc7270+1065567568 I've searched through these forums and have heard many differnt ideas on pump times? Should they run nonstop or on a 15 on 15 off method Last edited by sTiNkFiZzLe; 10-07-2003 at 06:59 PM..

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | 35-80 psi is a sh**load! a 400 gph pump for ponds etc. will generally supply less than 5 PSI, so youll need to know how those nozzles run at low pressure. best case i think would be big droplets in a kind of spray, worst case a sad dribble falling back into the res :-/ have a look at the "Misting Systems for small Aeroponic setups" thread, as we were all thinking about this a while ago ![]()
