Advanced Nutrients

I just spent the last 4 hours on the phone with Customer Support for advanced nuitrients and I'm feeling a little shakey. In Eastern Canada the market is dominated by many nutrient companies that have been around for a while. When i started to do my reasearch the best crops i was seeing on the net was with advanced (if used properly) Dispite every Hydro store here's advice i went with my gut. I had 3 beutiful yeilds, over 0.73 G's per watt (on a 2000 watt soil sysyem 5 plants!!!) well they were beasts and treated like gods. I braught the pictures to my local store and they told me it wasnt the nutrients but the grower. BS! but whatever. So now Advanced is changing their feeding schedual adding expensive things like vodoo juice and pirahna powder to a weekly watering. Well now i am faced with a predicatment. Do i A continue with advanced (even though it is very expensive) or change nutes? Has anyone else developed different feeding batches? Should I continue or is Advanced a marketing scheeme based to attack medicinal growers like ourselves?

Can anyone give me any thoughts?

And has anyone used Advanced for Aero? I'm in week 2 of vegging now...

I heard an anecdote but it may have been propagated by Advanced themselves. Supposedly an RCMP officer in BC noticed that the busts they made where Advanced Nutrients were in use, the buds were enormous. I have done some research myself on these products and I feel that one can replicate their feeding regimen with careful monitoring of the ppm of your nutrients. I do not know the extent to which they could reinvent the wheel. I mean, i don't know if they could make ferts much better than they are. i do however believe that their merits lie in their specialty products like carbo-load and voodoo juice etc. Those 8 week sensi programs are just too expensive for me. Good luck and I'll be on the lookout for your results and decisions.

A well known GH guru at CW is visiting Vancouver later this week, for a ski vacation and visiting different mj folks. He's going to ski, I'm going to play ski lodge bum. One of the scheduled visits we're making is to AN, they want him (us) to see their product line, give us an in depth description of everything. They sent samples to Ed Rosenthal, for his testing, now he's on board as an advocate. They've given a bunch of product away, to knowledgable growers, all have said they'd buy it again (according to AN). I'm sure their intent is to get our GH guru over to the "Dark Side", as an AN advocate, but, like other growers, this guru will want to try it on his own. One of the complaints I voiced to AN was the quantity sizes they presently sell. To me, it was unaffordable by the med users, I have been assured that they will be marketing smaller sizes, targeting this market. When I get back, I'll post a thread on what we discovered.

HalfBked;

Do you have any more information as to your methodology in your 5 plant, 2000 watt grow? I'm curious as I'm applying for my designated grower's status and, because of plant number limitations, I need to be able to produce more than my present cabinet will put out. Any information will be gratefully appreciated.

Til I return.............DD

DD I'm not quite sure what you are asking?

I use high wattage b/c you yeild crisper budz, but i do have to downgrade a little, putting 2 600's and 1 400MH in there to replace the 2 1000's then i am gonna put one more 1000's into the aero setup, with aero i've seen the more light the harder the budz, to tell you the truth i am just on the ssearch for the stongest bud in the world. It;s just driven me to the extreme. I've been growing for a year and everyyeil what i hook my homies up with pays for the upgrades, i've just upgraded a lot
