![]() | Howdy fellow plant lovers! I had a quick question for ya'all. I'm just now getting my bubbler setup underway, and I'm now germinating the seeds. Well, I thought it would be a good idea to have everything hooked up and give 'er a test run to make sure all was good. Well my question is this: my Profile 4000 air pump is a little loud. I've tried wrapping some blankets around it, and putting it in a box wrapped in towels, but the thing is still just too loud. I live in an apartment, and I don't whant the people next door to hear the pump all day and night. They might start to wonder.... So any comments ideas or whatever, I appreciate all input. Thanks guys, and keep 'em growin'!!! Later, CaveMan

![]() | If you REALLY wanna make it quiet at all costs you could goto your local hardware store and ask for some sound proof insulation and line a shoebox with it or something.... Anything thats really soft, like foam or cotton or towels like you have will absorb the sound..... I dunno how much sound proof insulation is but it shouldnt cost too much for such a small box... or just buy a quieter pump. good luck with your grow...
