Howdy fellow plant lovers!

I had a quick question for ya'all. I'm just now getting my bubbler setup underway, and I'm now germinating the seeds. Well, I thought it would be a good idea to have everything hooked up and give 'er a test run to make sure all was good. Well my question is this: my Profile 4000 air pump is a little loud. I've tried wrapping some blankets around it, and putting it in a box wrapped in towels, but the thing is still just too loud.

I live in an apartment, and I don't whant the people next door to hear the pump all day and night. They might start to wonder....

So any comments ideas or whatever, I appreciate all input. Thanks guys, and keep 'em growin'!!!

If you REALLY wanna make it quiet at all costs you could goto your local hardware store and ask for some sound proof insulation and line a shoebox with it or something.... Anything thats really soft, like foam or cotton or towels like you have will absorb the sound..... I dunno how much sound proof insulation is but it shouldnt cost too much for such a small box... or just buy a quieter pump.
