Question cloning for dwc, will it work?

i was curious if i might be able to root a clone in this matter as i have depicted in this illistration. nutes would be set up with a rooting solution. i would keep the cutting submerged about an inch or 2. any comments?

Sounds great man,
Polystyrene rafts are also good, I had a play with a home made system a few years back, twmp control was easy, I just added som rooting hormone and I was away, they got root real quick. Pythium ad dampening off/collar rot was a problembso I reduced the water levels a little bit. Your setup should work great.

Talking thaks for the quick response

i figured i would attach this image of my dwc aquarium setup, it will have room for 18 clones for a sog grow, i figured on drilling with a 13/16 drill bit, thru plexiglass, covering it with reflective metal tape. sides will be covered with black matting board to prevent light from hitting the roots. top area is 1'x2', so i think i can stuff 18 clones into it. just wanted to make sure it would work, before i set it up. i believe i can use bulk filter mesh to hold the plants in place before transfering them to 3" netted pots. might build a second setup just because of the small foot print, and to really utilze the 400w hps.
peace....

Very nice diagrams! Is the rooting solution in the water or does it 'stick' to the root when speared through the hole?

the cutting will be an inch or so into the solution which contians the rooting hormone and some 1/3 strength nutes just for additional help. once there is a well formed tap root, it will be transfered over to the flowering bubbler. i hope this works, i haven't done this, will most likely used bag bean to try it out!
