with the ttremendous hatred for hermies in the growing world...sure makes me wonder why so many thing are bred with diesel(s).

not sure how much t his gets read. got to wondering...how many people grow the crosses of diesles and have had hermie issues? I've only noticed a problem when temps variate greatly. or light leaks of course. growing sour diesel, the grapefruit smelling pheno.

Hey Bud, I have never had a NYCD or ECSD hermie at all. Interesting, I'm sure others will chime in.

My understanding is that it came from seeded bud right? Well the SD came from one of those seeds. Perhaps the bag it came from was a polinated crop? Maybe the bag it came from wasnt a bag of hermie seeds?

Then for crosses, any stable male would do. Right?

I mean, the original plant may have been a true stable female, unlike say the trainwreck wich most likely came from some hermie plant?

Just a quik thought. lol

I popped 4...3 were female.....1 out of the 3 hermied I didnt notice I downed the plant upon my final trim thats when I noticed the pollin sacks

So we are talking about 3 plants all in the same environment, everything was the same about all plants dirt water fert temp and 1 of them hermies.....explain that 1???

I bought Sour Diesel the Diesel smelling pheno from a Cali store in clone form...... it doesnt or hasnt hermied

Hmm, I haven't grown a Diesel plant myself yet, but I was getting some Sour Diesel nuggets from a friend who was growing it, and they weren't sinsemilla nuggets, they a small amount of seeds in them, which I liked because I kept them to grow sometime. It could have been because they had turned into hemaphrodites or because some turned into males, I'm not sure.

The grower knew what he was doing for the most part, too.

Is the diesel strain suseptible to going hermie? Wish I would of read this last week before I order NYCD or DieselRyder..
I hope it's only a climate issue, I have a pretty stable environment so I should be ok if thats the case..

well, I don;t know about the diesel strain itself, but sour d is. mine is chem/dawg crossed with the hawaiian something that hermied and dusted the chem/dawgs. and it does indeed seem to be climate related w/ my diesel. even outdoor.

mine smells like diesel in the last few weeks of growing, but drys to a fruity smell with a hint of diesel. kind of musty, or sour smelling. most men that I've let smell this say right away 'you can sure smell why they call it sour diesel'

I love it. want to breed with it, but am contimplating and wanted to get others experiences.

I grow Sour Dawg. A sour diesel x Chem dawg cross. It may toss out a nanner late in flower, but never throws out male sacs. I dont breed with it, but I just love the stuff and will grow it til I come across something that outdoes it.

yeah, I was leaning that way as well. there are enough unstable strains in the world. lol

I've had ball sacs on mine this time around. left a light on all night though. only had a few, clipped them and they didn't come back. a couple were certainly open when I got to them. clipped and carefully dunked it the cup of water next to me. I have found no seeds so far and wet clipped everything. I'm pretty sure there are none.

thanks for all the replies guys. crazy the diversity of this strain already.
