will hermies pass on the traits??

I had 3 beans that came from the same breeder.. same breeders package..all the beans were treated the same.....same nutes, soil, temp, water.... ect. 1 of the 3 hermied for no reason at all.....produced some nice tiger stripes

My question is will the plants that these seeds produce be hermies or will they be normal....these were PurpleWreck beans I got from the Tude.... the breeder is Reserva Pervada...

these are the seeds from the hermie plant

yup I b'leve Hermies beget Hermies. In this case, I would say they are at risk, especially since it is a Hermie fertilizing itself.

If the seeds came from a hermie, the hermie trait will be passed on.

I think there may be alot of breeders doing this, and then charging more for the seed calling them 'feminized' I think the way to look at it is this....if a parent plant is susceptible to stress, than it would make sense that the progeny of said plant also would be susceptable to similar stress. That doesn't explain all hermies by any means though, like in your case

Makes me wonder if DNA just made a sister company for their inferior products?

And feminized seeds should be coming from plants that are forced to hermie, not naturally occuring ones. imo.

ah, a while back i wouldave said yes..

but i now have too many times raised hermie children to say yes to this now.

it depends on your growroom, heat and other things.

but not necessarily. ive had plants hermie from what i thought was heat issues.

but, im running hermie seeds now and ive got bit of heat issues, fine now (tad high) but once surely went over 80c for a bit, fan failed and the entire top of one plant dried to a crisp, plant survived, is doing fine, no hermying.

the other plant, also a sure child of a hermie, didnt go through the fan failure, but bit heat issues too (i just rebuilt my cab, so im rid of that, mostly, just added a 400w mh, its surprisingly cool, but still..:LOL

but its beyond the time that the parent hermied at and not the slightest hint of balls..

i kinda want it too hermie, the parent had only a bit of balls, 15-30 min pickoff, got almost all, got about 15 seeds and the yield was massive. potent as heck too, high high.

i also want the other plant to hermie, same deal with the balls, different strain, i dont know about the former, but this one has been impossible to clone and i dont have any males. third or fourth generation hermies.

id say if the balls werent overwhelming, pop the seeds.

if you like the plant enough to keep

lets just say, your hooked up !!

these seeds, if viable are more than likely to produce male and female plants as well as some that do not produce at all (sterile?) ....
