Isolated this male 2 weeks ago under no lights. I thought this would cause it to open up. I only have one week in the breeding window left. How do I get the plant to spew pollen? If I kill it now, will it dry up and produce pollen? Do I put it back under the 12/12. I do not want to contaminate the females. Or do i just wait until next grow and leave it under the lights longer next time? The plant is starting to die.

I'd put it in 12/12 natural light, like a bathroom window?
Is this an option?

It needs some light to survive- you found that out the hard way. But 12/12 with your girls is dangerous, as they can open and pollinate while you aren't looking. Hence the bathroom window... in the northern hemisphere the hours are right, and the windows are usually clouded glass to prevent anyone identifying it.

Or cut off all but the topmost balls, put it under 12/12, and bag the top of the plant. The leaves still get the light they need, but the pollen sacs are enclosed in a white paper bag (bakery bags). You can shine a flashlight behind the bag (like shadow puppets) to see when the sacs open without opening the bag and spilling pollen. When you see the sacs have opened, cut off the stem still inside the bag and exit the room.
Play with the pollen elsewhere, and change clothes before you return to the girls.

Plant is now in an easterly window with complete access to the morning full sunlight, nobody can see it. Cannot chance the 12 / 12 with the soma #10 females., bag and all. Hey, just learning this breeding thing. If it fails, oh well. There is always next time. If at first you dont succeed, ask, ask, and ask again, then be sucessful!
