How do I know when seeds are mature??
permalink

I pollinated one branch on my last grow, and now Im waiting for the seeds to mature. How do I know when they're ready to be harvested?? The calyxes have split, and I can see the seed, dosent look quite as dark as it should yet though...Should I harvest it now? What signs should i look for??

Thanks

Ya, pull one and see. Five weeks to turn a seed. If the calax is open, odds are its done.

I pollend a four inch branch, too. Just at four weeks. I will wait for the flower to die off too. Then I'll know the seed is done!

Harvest when the calyxes start to shrivel up and the seeds are clearly dark, shiny, and nearly ready to fall out.

Once the ovum wall ruptures/cracks, they are ready. Some seeds will mature earlier than others, the whole process runs over a few weeks.
