what strains are used as a start for breeding? I've heard ruderalis indica mentioned, I've also heard of citral- and of course NL I don't just want to make crosses, I want a totally unique strain-

![]() | I imagine using the ruderalis skunk strain would result in large yeilds from what I gather. Maybe mix a ruderalis strain with something really high potent like AK-47 or Neville's Haze and have an outcome of a really potent plant will high yeilds. Although, to get it perfect you would probably have to cross it with some other strains as well. Just my $.02 ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | As far as I know, most base strains are nameless, or are common strains found around the world. For example, Skunk is a great base because it is a pure natural strain. Also, NL has evolved so much over the years that it is very stable, thusly making a good base strain. So pretty much any pure stable strain would make for good breeding. You must take into consideration a few key characteristics, such as potency, yield, disease resistance, growth pattern, etc. To mak a good hybrid you should find two base strains wit complementing characterstics, such as a mold resistant plant crossed with a high yielder will make a strain that is great for mass production. Also, a potent base crossed with a short bushy base will make an excellent indoor strain. Get creative, it's not every day that we gt to play God! ![]()
