![]() | I am getting ready cutt'em. But before I do I am going to take a sandwich bag, stick over a few of the males' flowers "cause ladies are down, and he is up stairs" ,, shake the heck out of his flowers. Collect me some pollin. Then put a pollinated bag around a female flower or two! Wa-la seeds rite?? #1. Do I have to use that pollin rite away, or can any left overs be preserved? #2. should I pollinate before harvest, or should just cutt her at the stem after her 2-3rd branch then pollinate? #3. after pollinating keep em on the 12\12, or change back to veg #4. how long should I keep em going to get matured seeds #5. for a beter servival and growth rate, do seperate seeds before or after curring #6. do seeds need to be aged before they will germinate, and how long #7. is there a hormone that can be provided to insure a beter female ratio

#1 - to me, seems the pollen can be used as long as the plants is alive. i mean once you collect it and pollinate the girls -- i'd toss it... you'll have enough seeds after pollination, and maybe more males later #2 - polinate befrore the harvest.. the seeds gotta grow. its not like polinate and vola, seeds. just pollinate the bottom 2-3, maybe 4 branches. should be enough #3 - 12/12 brother - mother nature doesn't switch her sun time just cuz plants are havin some sex.. haha. the seeds will form in 12/12 - they formed in mine #4 - till you see the tips of the seeds pokin out.. you'll know after careful inspection #5 - this i donno.. i don't really understand the question so.... skip it #6 - ??? i'm guessing they would be mature after you dry and cure the plant, but once again i'm not so sure. #7 - there is a hormone that once placed on a blooming male will turn most if not all the seeds into female seeds... its like a plant sex change in the next generation, as males only generate male seeds. with the hormone, it makes all female seeds. i donno the name of the hormone, nor how to use it. i just know what it does. hope this helps a little, more experianced growers will most likely answer the rest.

you can't polinate and the crop straight away expecting seeds You'd have to polinate much earlier in the flowering cycle for the seeds to mature over the full length of flowering, if you want good seeds![]() San ![]()

![]() | I figured this. I was thinking, I would pollinate here in a week or two. I have around 5 or less weeks, for a total of 8-10 weeks flower time. I figured on pollinating like 3 weeks before cutt'n em I am still in ? about wether to seperate the seeds before I cure the buds, "I am reading about difrent methods of cureing, and some seem like they would kill, sterilize, ect seeds
