I have collected pollen from a male I transplanted to the garden and I want to pollenate a couple of flowers in my "inside" garden. I will mix the pollen with a bit of sterilized flour and will use a paintbrush to pollenate a bud that is 3 1/2 weks into 12/12. I will then cover the "pollenated bud " branch with a small paper bag to prevent infecting the rest of my crop. QUESTION: How long do I leave the paper bag on???? When I take the bag off how can I be sure my fans won't send loose pollen everywhere ![]()

![]() | Sorry..A paper bag will NOT work...It will still get on others...no matter what you do..Trust me.....The pollen can be in the other room..UPSTAIRS and it will STILL find it's way to ALL the females. it will come in when you do..on clothes etc...You will see.. ![]()

![]() | From past experience....If you don't want to pollinate some of them females...then put them in a different house all together. I have learned the hard way...And I wasn't happy. That pollen will find it way to the girls...In the air, clothes,etc... I had some males at a different house before.. and just from being around them, The pollen must have gotten on my clothes or hair or something ...cause some of my girls got seeds...It is very HARD to keep that pollen at bay. I have tried almost the same thing you want to try..and NO luck...seeds everywere...If you want to grow seeds...all i can say is...you may get a full crop of all seed buds this grow....Then, next grow don't let pollen in the house at all...get them males out asap when you find them..Good Luck. ![]()

I've got this great female - a big honkin sativa - that wants to flower really early . Its bagseed so I'll never find another like her.I've taken a couple of clones off her but I've never cloned b4 and frankly they're not looking as robust as I'd like. Soooooo....... Fully aware of the risks I think I'll swipe one bud with a paintbrush O' pollen from this really hardy male I have out in my yard. I'll give it a try and if the worst that happens is I get a couple of seeds from my other two ladies I'll still be happy. Lots of people have tried the method I'm doing so I'll see how it goes. Thanks for the concern and the caution - I really appreciate it. If I end up opening "Bobes Seed World" I'll be sure to send you a pack of seeds. ![]()

If you are going to do it( wich it seems you are), i would make sure you don't have any fans blowing around in there. Try to be as carefull as you can. No air movement. Good Luck to you. E-mail me for my address to ship the seeds....Just kidding.. ![]()

well I have read that if you don't want the pollen to spread right before you remove the paper bag spray it with water and maybe give the bud a shake and the extra pollen will stick to the side of the bag. Then remove the bag.
