I have my tips in water too,I have struck plants like this for 15 years.Mind you, smarty pants, mine are at 5 days and zilch so far... Changing water everyday so its oxyginated.Cool,I'll plug on now. I was going to wait till roots were 3/4 to 1 inch, before planting. But thats just opinion. V

![]() ![]() | Hey! good to hear form someone who has done it this way. Couldnt find one reference to cloning in water that included what to do. Im figuring on a equall VPP medium, but at the top, where the plant goes, Ill put all vermiculite so its easier for the roots to get through. Please, V, let me know what you do. How to transplant, what to transplant in, any special care required, etc. Smokin

I dug out the center of the equall VPP mix, about a 3" hole. Suspended the plants roots in the hole and dribbled vermiculite in till the roots and hole were covered. The straw (that you cant really see) is to prevent mold or rot on the stem. Dont know if it will be a problem, but she has been in water for 8 days... Also helps hold her upright after adding 1/2" mix to the top. Then i watered the little planter...

![]() ![]() | You know, I thought too much about the stem and didnt let it dry. Overlooked the obvious. Ill remove the straw for a day and see if it needs it then. Been 12 hours and there is some wilting. It seems to still need the high humidity in the clone box, right? The indoor ? are what the rest of us are here for. You outdoorseys get to tell us how to do it the way Jah intended when we finally start growing outside![]() Smokin

![]() ![]() | Three and a half days since transplant, and still no improvement in wilting. I have seen roots hit the side of the cup tho, so Im not worrying too much. Smokin
