![]() | Hi all Recently i took 10 clones from my favourite looking and smoking indica.. I used some cutting powder (manutec) and rockwool to take the clones, using a razor of course... there in a 28 lt plastic container with glad wrap on top with a 2x25w floro above them, I mist them twice a day with water..i trimmed the bottom leaf sets and snipped the tips off, the bottom leaves a now yellow, but they have all taken root, large knobular roots and other than the yellowing of the bottom leaves there healthy, now my question is, what sort of nutes can i feed them, bear in mind these are destined for bubbler pots, can i foliar spray them aswell with a very weak nute mix?, I was thinking a week bloom mix maybee but i am not sure.anyway any help much appriciated, thanks

![]() | Hi Phantom, Thanks for the words and backup mate, Ima gonna go for a real weak bloom mix, just somthin to give em a pick me up, as there from a indica the stems are real thick some are nearly half a inch thick, but they all rooted i think they need a little NPK, as i would be right in my conclusion that the yellowing of the leaves is due to the plant using up goodness stored in those leaves to keep alive right while it is developing roots to support it? Cheers Phantom

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hello there, Um i have done quite a bit of experimenting with different nutrients and strengths and the like and to be honest a 800ppm grow solution seems to work best, better still get them into an automated wateing setup and the metabolism of the plant will accelerate, more dendritic root formations will form and the plant will basically go bezerk. Hit them with some 1-NAA (Superthrive has it) if you really want them to kick off once the callousing and first roots appear. From my reading of Buckle, et al and also the work by Carl Barry it seems the extra P and K will actually inhibit the rooting process as it sends things way to acidic and I di find slightly slower growth after the dilute flowering formula, its funny though as I use a product called Quickstart that uses the amonia cycle and high P and K to stimulate roots, perhaps its the amonia's action that dampens the P and K, Im not too sure at this stage. ![]() | I like how in the cloning guide thread above they promote 1/5 strength bloom strength and now apparrently grow is the go. I feel sorry for new comers who have to wade through conflicting information (when is that updated grow guide happening?). For myself I'm lazy but I have never had a problem using no nutes at all just neutral water and a good dose cloning gel in the beginning, roots show through the rockwool cubes within 7-9 days and plants are healthy and growing within a couple of days of being put into the system. I'm sure there are a variety of methods to speed things up but I'm not in a hurry and I'm having 100% success with what I'm doing. Phantom Ghost Who Smokes

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hey Phantom, Sorry mate I meant 800ppm once the first roots show, for the cloning process I just use straight water also, works fine for me ![]() latz, OzGrowa
