Ive been putting together a little cab for my flatmate to replace what he has now.... The entire cab is made from 18mm MDF and will measure 1000Hx700Wx375D in mm. I am about half way done. All measured up and assembled apart from the doors and hinges . Still need to paint and finish. The plan is to start with CFL's but to bae able to up grade to 250HPS. ![]() Here's what I have done so far, will probably finish next weekend: ![]()

![]() ![]() | 250 hps bulb is about 8" long. With socket thats about 10" long. Hang it 1 way it fits good, but has horrible foot pring hang it another way, footprint is great but dont quite fit. put in a cooled hood, or leave bulb open to air fixed at the top of the cabinet with a scrog screen below. Well, is what I'd do good build

but, even so, the best footprint for that bulb would be if the bulb was aligned front to back, instead of side to side because its only the arc tube in the middle in which light emits from. probably wont make a difference in the long run as it will still be saturated in light in there.. time for another ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Here is the almost finished cab. I have painted the inside and attached the doors. I have also installed a lock but will be unable to use until I put a socket bolt on the inside of the other door. I have put the old CFL's from the old cab in for the meantime. As you can see the plants are in need of a bit more light. Just need to seal round the doors and put the socket bolt in and we are done ![]() ![]() ![]()
