peltier unit

BTW, I'm hooking my 'experimental' peltier unit up as a res cooler on my 5 gallon res, I one time attempted to cool a 150 watt booth with it
it seemed to cool ok, never really getting cold, I got a 10 degree air drop with a 3" computer fan blowing on it

that's when I found out they die from lack of co2

those small peltier coolers rate out at a 40 degree drop on one plate, really would be hard to make one sweat
ummm not true, mine started to sweat after 10 minutes of use. however you need a cold sink for it for more surface area. i think they would work great in a small application.

and i am willing to bet the peltier would cool your res, thats originally why i had all of these parts laying around but i had water leaks and found a better device to cool my res that was easier to make.

my ac unit is used only to cool the room and runs barely as it is, and the hot exhaust does not come in contact with the room at all. I think a dehumidifier would work best for my situation. it has already been ordered so when it comes in a day or two ill let ya'll know whats up.

actually to remove the humidity, you want the unit to kick on pretty cold but for a short period of time
i would think you would want the ac unit to run as long as its needed to remove all the humidity, my ac does kick on for a short period of time very cold and im sure it removes humidity, but soon as it kicks off the water vapor takes over. the ac just does not run long enough. my temps are at 88-90 and with a cool tube the ac doesn't really have to do much.
