![]() | The materials I plan to use for my setup: *(4) Blue\Red Led Panels (225 LEDS/panel, 16 Watts of power each) *(1) 50W Hps *(1) 20W CFL 6400K *4" Inline Blower linked to a Carbon Filter *Flat White paint instead of e-blanket *7x6x10 Plexiglass made pot *Bagseed *Weather tape, hotglue and other tools to prevent light leaks and other problems *Advanced Nutrients Micro-Grow-Bloom *A soil-less mix(A soil that doesn't contain any fertilizer) Notes about the construction: I am going to buy 4 pieces of hardwood to fit over the walls inside now; I'm going to use velcro to attach them and paint them flat white. I will also hotglue the LED panels to the hardwood. I will drill two 4" Holes inside the cabinet: One for intake and one for exhaust. The intake will have a 4" Inline fan mounted in the hole. I will fit tubing around the fan from the outside of my grow box and attach it to a carbon filter. I will mount a duct on the outside of the exhaust hole. The duct will face downwards so that light has a hard time escaping. I may also attach panty hose on the outside of the duct to further prevent light leakage. As for the rest of the lighting, the 50W Hps and the 20W CFL will be hanging from the top. I will make a reflector for the 50 HPS light. I will drill two holes into the top of the reflector to attach hooks onto it. I will also mount hooks on the ceiling of the cabinet and on the back wall so that I can pull the string from the reflector through these areas for manual adjustment of the light. For the 20W CFL I am going to use a lot of hotglue to cover the socket, and I will mount 2 hooks into the hotglue. One will attach to a hook directly above it, and the second will attach to a hook slightly to the left of the first ceiling hook so I can angle the light towards the grow. I will see how this setup works and make adjustments to it so that humidity and temperatures will be constant and beneficial for the marijuana. Once I get my setup complete I will plant a bag-seed into the soil. When the plant reaches 5"-6" height I will begin to flower. While flowering I will use low stress training since I am low in both vertical and horizontal height. Other notes: -The pot goes 3 inches into the main grow area. (This means that I have 23 inches of horizontal height for the plant to grow) -I have 12 inches of length and width of available area for the plant to branch out during its growth. - Feel free to comment on this setup. ============= Questions for Expert Growers ============= I would appreciate some help on how to use my nutrients. Advanced Nutrients' Nutrient Calculator - Analyze Soil Chemistry and Plant Nutrient Levels for Your Hydroponic or Indoor Garden. My pot(reservoir) has a capacity of 1.82 Gallons of soil. I plan to grow my plant from seed to bud in 8 weeks. If I use .2 oz of the three Nutrients(micro, grow, bloom) then, My N-P-K would be: 7-6-11. This is horrible since it is optimal that my nitrogen be higher than the other two nutrients during seedling and vegetative growth. Note that the AN calculator uses equal portions of micro, grow, and bloom through out the entire grow. I find this stupid because these levels should change based on what stage the plant is at. Another note: I may be wrong about the total N-P-K. Please correct me if I am wrong. Last Note: I will have to follow this thread: http://www.gardenscure.com/420/marij...ard-seeds.html because I plan to grow a female plant from my first try. Thank you for your time. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | With that HPS I think you will be good but LEDs (red and blue) will do nothing by themselves. Well, it will do something but it wouldn't be worth the effort. I like that you have the HPS and CFLs to round out the spectrum. This will be a very interesting grow. I messed with LED spotlights (from HTG) and they certainly do help as side /under lighting. I put them on the floor pointing up at the plants and the difference is (was) like night and day. I just want to add. Please please please make sure that the carbon filter is as packed full of carbon as possible. I never paid attention when making mine so I always ended up having voids. I then began buying them and the difference was like night and day. Odor is one thing that you don't want to mess with.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I got some things accomplished since I last posted. *Attached Beast Exhaust Fan *Hooked up venting equipment *Got Socket and prepared fluorescent bulb *Attached a fan to the HPS \ reflector and attached it to the ceiling ALSO: I made up a way to control my fan's speeds using my PC and SpeedFan: Instead of plugging the fan into the wall using a 12V AC\DC Adapter I connected it into one of my motherboard's fan connectors(I had to cut off a fan connector's wires and solder my fan's wires to it.) Then I downloaded SpeedFan, change some advanced settings, and got it to allow me to modify the fan speeds. This was a hella cheaper fix and works with any 12V fan. Sticky? I can post detailed instructions. Here is a sound file of me changing the speeds: YouSendIt - Send large files - transfer delivery - FTP Replacement | ||

I vote Sticky too, if you'll do a detailed how-to post. Cabs are big, I think a lot of people would be interested. Plus, it's just plain cool! hmm, I could use Ubuntu to.... lol
