Extraction help

High all

I am haveing real troubles with my temps in the flower room. It is going up to 35c and my plants are getting frazzled.

my set up is:

1.2m budbox
600w HPS
6" fan
5" Ruck extractor
4" Ruck extractor (intake)
Odoursok CF
Min/Max thermometer/Hygrometer

The way I have it set up just now is:

4" extractor connected to a vent drawing fresh air from outside into the bottom of the tent via ducting

I have the 5" extractor sitting ontop of the tent pulling through the CF and extracting the hot air up through a hole in the roof to the loft via ducting

The plants are fine apart from the leaves are turning to dust as they are burnt and the plants are looking like they have seen better days, they are still flowering but i need to get my room environment set up correctly for future grows.

Thanks for any help

There is a huge difference in fans, just saying it is a 4, 5, or 6" fan is not enough information to really help out. You have got to know the cfm rating of fans to be able to vent your cabinet. One other thing you might want to consider is venting the reflector seperately from the room, is it a sealed reflector? If not, investing in one would be a wise decision.

What's the temp of the air that's coming into your room?
And where are you taking your temp reading from?
The cooltube should really be helping with the temps. How was it set up?
Running your lights at night is an easy way of helping to keep the temps down if your not already doing that.

That's a shed load of air exchange for a single 600 watter Fanleaf...

Are you taking your readings from in the light area? If so, you get a false reading, can't remember what the term is, and it doesn't matter anyway, it's just false. Make a little hood or summat from cardboad so your thermometer isn't in the light.

Also remember, it doesn't matter how powerful your fans are, the coolest your gonna get the room without aircon is the same temperature as your intake. I know that sounds kinda obvious but some people seem to think that fans magically make the air cooler than it was before you brought it into the room.

If you can do mate, measure the air temp at your intake (before it gets sucked into your 4" ) then measure it as it leaves your exhaust.

I've got 5 of those tents mate and your extraction is way, way, way enough.

Here is my if u only have 165 drawing air in thats all the extrator fan can work. Try removing the intake fan. take the temps. Passive intakes work extremely well. You may need to make the passive intake larger, or open another slot in your grow tent.

or maybe even open another slot and keep the intake fan? who knows, i think it has to deal mostly with the non passive intake not getting enough air in.

If they are still high use your intake fan as a 2nd extractor fan.

hope that helps
