I think you just made Macguyver cry! Ck the edits I took more pics made it way more print freindly. That is the Best Pic , of McGiver , ever. Rockets = Fun Can't wait to test it. (test went awesome , really sucks up the smells BIG TIME) It has its own 6 inch in line fan, still in the box the Mesh was the money factor and learning to stitch it on the fly with the wire they use to roll up the metal cloth. They had a damper but it was like a piece of the mechanism so for 8 bucks i would have to figure it out. WATCHING THE GAME COCKS BEAT TENN 26 to 6 on ESPN 2 Figuring up cost looking at Recipts I will add here I want to make like 3 more LOL I have carbon for maybe one more All this carbon = lots of scrubbing Stinky

QUOTE=EMj Nice DIY thread! How much is the total cost if you don't mind me asking? Very cool and by all means do more threads like this!! Peace[/quote] Keep in mind the cost of a related Filter with this much carbon and Length & Width Cost = $ 209 + Desc QNTY 9 lbs Carbon 1 $18.00 10in worm clamps pairs 2 $8.00 2in Hardware Cloth 31in x 1/2in by ft 16ft $19.00 Economy Plus Air Cond Filter 1 $4.00 Metal Tape 0.5 $4.48 Duct Parts all 5 $20.00 $73.48 For a few dollars more I/e the Double the Clamps and Duct Parts can have Two of these Filters. (EDITED LATER 6:30 pm) I just got back from home depot if you wanna save a big chunck of change on the PVC asile or ask there are really long white bags of zip ties be perfect to replace worm clamps if you wanna save like $ 20 off the price. I notice Filter in a Can uses a Packing Strap prolly no cost to it at all. There Filters don't get this big but there longest I saw that wasn't half this one was $ 209.00 Getting Worm Clamps Cheap and HardWare Cloth Cut to Size, Really Reduces your Cost. Finding Mesh or A/C Filters to Hold the Carbon is another key. Find the AC filter paks in our filter ISLE. Ordering Carbon and making more than one Filter makes each Filter Cheaper, as it is hard to get some of this stuff in small amounts. Remember this a 8in Diameter, 18lbs of Carbon, 31in long Fliter (It's E-NORM-ACE) $ 36 Active Carbon 8 x 16 Mesh , comes with the Mesh for the Inner Core is, 18 lbs can make two huge Filters like this one and it removes allot of smell, ALLOT. THis is shipping every thing I tell you its worth it to order it from online to get that mesh I stitched into the inner Core. Ordering multiple Mesh Screens is the Key. Also the wire that holds the Fencing Cloth i/e the 1.3 in sq wire. THere is a wire that holds it in a bundle I used allot of that for stitching it all together makes it stronger and less bulky, to much Take = problem on down the road if Humid in room will seperate. So use Metal Tape. Then the Clamps over the top keeping everyting tight is key. 30 $ 6 x 6 in Worm Clamps ( i think these are Exp) $ 4 - 5 per (you could use metal tape to cut the cost donw, only but I think that cutting a needed conrer) Snug = torque on the sucking so less drag on your fan.[/b]

Where did you buy your in-line fan and how much did it cost? Great job, looks like it works well. I've been looking at buying or building one of these things - you just made my mind up for me. Keep up the good work and grow on man. One. | ||
