Welcome to my latest creation. I have dubbed it the space case, for no real reason. The goal here is a micro stealth cab. completely unsuspecting from the world around it. I have tried them all. some were awesome spaces with little stealth, other were awesome stealth but horrible space/atmosphere. We start with a typical metal filing cabinet. 4 drawers, measures about 4 feet tall 25" deep and 16" wide. The bottom 3 drawers have been removed and gutted. The top drawer remains intact. This is for storage of all the nutrients and related grow crap you dont want just sitting around. Bottom drawer is completely fixed. middle two are light tight and {will} have magnetic catches to hold them on. Space division - The cab has four internal spaces, not including the drawer above. being 16 wide and 25" deep, there is a ridge inside the case. this ridge is about 18" from the front of the case. at this point a false wall was constructed. now there are 2 seperate chambers. the front 16x18x36 and a rear 16x7x36. from this point the rear space was further divided. the lower 1/4 was boxed in, hiding the intakes/light traps. the top of that space is now the floor of the mother area. this area takes up half of the rear space. the top 1/4 is where the fan, power strip and timers are located. A door was built to cover the mother area and create the back wall for the flower space. This is the panel in the center you see with the two black thumb screws. These hold it tight against the seal so it wont leak light into the flower area. when the screws are loosened the door can be slid down, or up for complete access to the mom/clone area. Ventilation - Lasko personal task fan. about 15 bucks. the fan is broken out of the base, and plastic 3" duct adapters glued to the intake for the fans. {there are two small squirrel cages inside} One 3" duct is ran to the flower room, the other is ran to the mother room. The white pvc grates in the picture are the intakes for the fans. Passive intake - 2" pvc elbows. 3 each are joined and configured to best suit there space. one extends into the flower cab, the other stays behind the false wall, venting air into the mother space. Ventilation circuit - one half of the lasko fan pulls air out the top of the mom cab. air enters mother area through ventilated floor, underneath which lies the intake pipe that also functions as a light trap. The lasko pushes air out a vent cut into the back of the cabinet. the adapter duct made to adapt/mount the fan houses activated carbon to keep smells under control. flower cab... exact same thing. the lasko pulls air through that white vent at the top of the cab. air enters via the 2" pvc duct you see in the bottom right corner of the cab. Lighting - mother area is 2 26w daylight cfls. flower area is 3 65w 2700k cfl's no idea if this will cut it, but we shall see! and of course, here are some shitty pics taken with my phone. Dont worry about the light leak, the bottom door is only off while the others are drying. cab is about 90% done now, just the finishing touches remain. Sorry about the pictures, my host went down and this is the only one left standing. ![]() Last edited by Luke Highwalker; 07-11-2009 at 03:01 PM..

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thanks didnt take too many pictures during the construction phase, unfortunately. but if i pull the cover plates off and expose everything its pretty obvious how it goes together. just gotta wait for the seals on the doors to dry before i can open them and take proper pictures of everything.

![]() | Hey Luke great idea with the lasco! I can't comment on the rest of the cab because the pictures arn't showing but I wish they were. If I read right you said the lasco has 2 ports, 1 on each side that pull air? Was thinking about giving this blower a try on my micro cab, however I dont need/want it pulling from both sides. Is there a way to fix this? Also if you could repost those pics would be cool to see the whole cab and more pics of how the lasco is setup etc.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | .....And it says I'm still too new to send a p.m.- So, luke highwalker, sounds like a great Idea! As long as there is no smell, try getting a landlord to come up with a sane reason to need to get into your Filing Cabinet! " Listen, is that a running toliet inside your cabinet I hear?" Anyway, I would love to see the pics, if you still got 'em. The original ones don't show up anymore.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | yeah i need to repost the pics. i learned that photobucket IS NOT SAFE place to post too. so i gotta re up, and im havng trouble locating the pics on my computer {hundreds of thousands of pics on here} if you want the fan to only pull from one duct, just put teh fan in a box of some sort with only one duct coming out . its only divided because this cab has two seperate chambers.the top drawer is still a standard working filing cab drawer, so the landlord can open it all he wants. i might add filing cab's have locks on them ![]()
