ok well i normally let my shit hang dry but it smells up the house and i have some people i dont know commin by next week so.....i decided to build a cheap and oderless dry'n bin and i mean cheap
what i needed
1) a 10 gallon tub $3.50
2) 1 container of activated carbon from fish section at wally world $5.96 {i know the pic shows 2 but i only used half of 1}
3) a comp fan {had 1 sitin around} free
4) 4" netcup $1
5) pantyhose $1
6) something for a rack i used a grill off a old broke box fan
7) duct tape and a zip tie

tools needed
a drill
1-1/2" hole saw
4" hole saw

1st i took the net cup and pushed it down 1 leg of the hose to the bottom then cut the hose about 1" above the netcup then fold it ove the rim and tape it to the inside

then i slid it down the 2nd leg

then i took a plastic cup upside down and put it into the netcup to prevent carbon from fillin the cup then i cut off the hose about 3" above the cup

now i filled it with carbon sry no pics of that (only have 2 hands ) but i held the hose open and slowly pored the carbon into the top and had to gently work it down the side of the cup a handfull at a time till it was completely around the netcup it only took half a jar of carbon

then i used a zip tie to secure the outside hose then cut off the extra the i duct taped the fan {make sure the airflow is the right way} on to the filter

now i used a 4" hole saw and cut a hole near the bottom where i taped the fan filter to(that lil ponytail thigng is just where i didnt pull the outside hose tight enough and had to pull the slack out )

next i used the 1-1/2 hole saw and cut my intakes 3 of them high up on the other side as the filter

now i mesured and cut the fan grid to fit as dryn trays i can fit 2 trays in here and dry up to 4 zips with no odor
tray 1 sour d

then tray 2 ssh

then just plug in and enjoy pretty stealth 2 no noise no smell and looks like a ordanary tub just sittin around if put in the right spot

cheap and getto but hey it works

stay safe

lol nice!

i had this same horried realization....and unfortunately im too broke to even buy a thing of charcoal.

realizing my light was hung with chain, i had the dumbest great idea ever.

took a big ass cardboard moving box, screwed some wood strips inside to {to make a track}

then i took an old scrog screen, slid it in the box on teh tracks. drilled a hole in the top for a pc fan.

hung all my buds with paperclips to the screen, put a chain across the two chains holding up the light and sat the box on top of the chain. one more length of chain coming from the middle of the cross chain make a perfect instant shelf.

now my dry box is light proof, and its in the grow room with my ridiculously oversized carbon filter....lots of dry bud. not a bit of smell
