Ok I am getting electricity installed into my shed. I am going to be having a 1000w hps, a/c, 1000 w mh, two fans, 360, tv, laptop that could all be going at the same time. Would 60 amp breaker box do, or should I go big with the 100 amp?

Hey thanks for the info, though how many amps does all your stuff equal up to? Like how close are you to going over the 60 amp mark? I maybe getting a mh for veg, and so here is a list of everything I can think of that will be plugged in. 1 - 1000 hps 1 - 400/600 mh 4 - oscillitating fans 1 - 8000 btu a/c 1 - laptop 1 - 360 1 - heater 1 - dehumidifier 2 - lamps I am thinking 4 total 15 amp breaker switches, for a total of 60 amps. I could have 4 outlets total, each one going to its own breaker. Is this a good idea, I could pair up certain things to, or should I go with a 100 amp, and get bigger breaker switches? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I don't care what anyone says, bigger is better in this case. I had my shed wired with a 200 amp breaker box and several 30 amp breakers for each outlet and I am only running several 400 watters, some timers and a window unit. I would rather have bigger gauge wire taking less current than moderate to undersized wire taking too much current. You'll pay though, but you can expand almost to your heart's content ![]()

![]() | that depends on if you can think you can expand your shed to exceed a 60 amp panel are you going to have the room to install a fee 1000 more watts of lights or put in a dryer? If not then I would bet your fine my parents whole house run off a 60 amp panel so I think your shed would be fine.

If you have that kind of money around by all means do it, you will never regret it but I think that 100 amps would be plenty

I see no problem in going with a 60 amp panel. You would more than likely run out of space, before you used up all of the amperage. Unless this 'shed' is massive and you have the money to throw down on the larger gauge wire. Which is also a problem. Copper is not cheap. Bigger gauge wire = more money out of pocket. and Electricians are not cheap.
