Oh thats right folks, with "Take 2" winding down to a close in the next month or so I am beginning the planning stages of ver. 3.0. This will be my push out of the closet and in to a perpetual grow with two freestanding cabs and possibly a mother/clone area. The cabinets will probably be about 3.5ft deep by 5ft long and 8ft high.

As for the hardware I have my existing 600w HPS w/ digital ballast from HTG. I will probably get a MH conversion bulb and use that for my veg side, and get a Lumatek 600w HPS for my flower room. I currently have a 424cfm fan with carbon scrubber and I will probably double it. I was thinking about using one ventilation system, but it may just end up being easier to do it separately.

This is just a very rough drawing show the cabinets at 4' x 6' x 8'. These will probably get scaled down in the length and width departments as described above. The area in the middle shows shelving, but I may use that for my mother. The top section will play host to my inline fans, wiring, and ballasts.

Any thoughts so far?

Sweet! Finally getting the electrician out here this week (hopefully). This means we are moving forward with construction!

First and foremost I need to finalize my dimensions for the cabs and get them constructed. I was originally planning on going as big as possible, but I am looking for efficiency here. Maybe something like 3' x 4' would be more reasonable for my lights?

If you could build your dream soil cab what would you do differently?

If you setup the carbon scrubber inside the cab, right next two the light it will kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Carbon scrubber will kill odor, and being inside the cab and up top, you can exhaust the hot air in the cab. Just make sure you setup an "intake" hole or tobe and put a nice hepa filter on it to prevent nasties from getting in.
