Mylar is the most reflective, followed closely by white paint. Flat or glossy white is a matter for debate

91%, thats awesome. i recently painted my grow space w/ Rust-Oleum Chrome Metalic Finish spray paint. would anyone know if this is effective at all ? while it was drying outside it reflected the sun pretty well.

Damn my soon-to-be grow closet is painted green... Wouldn't aluminum foil work well?

I use to use foil and it was fairly effective and better than nothing at all. It worked great using it to expand my hood because it can be molded to hold a shape.

I've since changed to mylar and it is definately more reflectve. It looks like the walls are mirrored with real mirrors.

Jah mon!

I'm surprised mirrors didn't get a much higher reflective rating!

What is Mylar?

The glass in mirrors absorbs some of the light. Thats why people don't use them.

It's the same stuff that the shinny ballons that say "get well" "happy birthday" and s*** are made of. You can usually get it in 25 to 100yd rolls at various hardware stores and hydro shops. Prices generally start at 20 bucks.
