Hi everyone.... I'm in a dilema here and need some advice. I'm gonna be growing 1 plant in my friends closet. His closet is a walk-in keep in mind. Now, am I able to just grow the plant in his walk-in closet without building a box for the plant? Or do I have to build a box for the plant. I understand about the 12/12 rule of absolute darkness and I can work around it. I'd just not rather make a box if necessary. If quality decreases significantly, then i will build a box. Please let me know what you guys think. Also, if building the box is the way to go, how high do I need to build the box. I'm using a 5 gal pot for the plant. And i'm using a 250watt hps. Thanks, in advance!

![]() ![]() | YOu wouldnt need to build a box, exacxtly, but you do need to contain the light from your lamp in a specific area. Otherwise, 1/2 your lumens are bouncing off the far wall and not illuminating the plant. Contain the light in an 6-8 sqf area with a 250 HPS. Put your lamp in a corner, and you already have two sides of your enclosure done. Get a sheet of 4x4 1/4" ply and paint it flat white and support ti upright for your third wall. Your last opening needs to be partly reserved for ventilating the plants and heat control of the lamp, so use whatever you can to work around the needed openings. Youll also need air into the closet full time, but not necessarily an exhaust if the walk in is pretty good sized thats it, later Smokin
