white paint
permalink

if i want to paint the walls of my grow space can i use any type of white light. do they all reflect a significant amount, i got a heap of old white paint lying in tins. so im gonna use them rather than buy some flat white, unless its inapropriate

ideas?

btw i read grow guide and closet cultivator 1 million times

going the reservoir system way got a new air pump and air stones the other day also how many air stones is enough i have 2 but they just send bubbles straight up half the bucket misses out on the bubbles. should i get some t pieces and attach more airstones? or are there better airstones out there that spread air outwards

yes any white paint is better than none but I think the gloss will absolve the light a bit?how big is your bucket?the only trouble with adding more airstones is the pressure drops off and you get less bubbles try spacing them apart so they have equal distance between them.

I did my closet with flat-white paint myself. I chose flat-white rather than gloss because I didn't want to create any hot-spots by reflection.

I will say this in way of advice. Don't use that old paint, go buy a new bucket, and make sure it's mold-resistant. Get something designed for a bathroom. If you're closet growing you'll face a relatively high humidity often. Buy your paint with that in mind.

Few things suck more than mold or other fungi. Get a paint that will help, rather than hinder, that fight.

I got connections in the movie industry, I got me some of that magic *lighting cardboard*, ya know, when people are filming, these other people stand out of camera sight and hold these WHITE BOARDS up so that the actors get the best lighting.

I have two of those that I have cut a few perforations in and *folded* into a U shape that fits around my plant area...and it reflects pretty good!

For the lightproofing of my closet, we have a black *divet* cloth, that is used to *make it look like it is dark outside while filming indoors....I think.....

I think white board saves as well, as going through the hassle of paining, and than smelling the paint every time your closet gets a lil warm and it starts to *cure* the paint......I like my room smelling like *tea*....not old dried paint.....JMHO

For the most part Flat White
permalink

do to the water and rh its best to add some anti mold to the paint to prevent mold. Also painting everything flat white gives the bugs less of aplace to hide
I am not sure but its only 5 % less reflectve than mylar. And a hell of a lot easer to clean.
