Okay here is the measurments of my new grow room, I need some expertese advice.......... Width = 7' Length = 9'11" Heigth = 6' I am buying a 1000 Watt HPS Here is the link....Growlight im buying I need someone to tell me how much of this room I should close off for vegative and flowering needs. Any other advice would also be appreciated since I am going to be growing for my first time and want everything to work well. Advice like how many plants I should plant, how high up they should be (should they be boosted on a table 4 feet up, or whatever). BTW This is a soil grow, probably start off in 1 galon containers and transplant to 5 galon buckets... Thank you, "Smoke weed everyday"

![]() | nice light... if you're not careful, someone might follow that link and out bid you... ![]() anyway, i'd recommend either adding another light or cutting your grow area in half to get the best results from your light. i'm assuming you're gonna use the MH during vegging which would give you only 1700 lumens/sqft if you tried to use all 70 sqft. about 3000 lumens/sqft is generally considered the minimum necessary for adequate growth. also, when you switch to the HPS for flowering, you'd be getting around 4000 lumens/sqft if you only used half of your space. i'm just guessing here, but if you had a 35 sqft grow space you could probably grow 15-20 plants. adding a couple of 4' floros would help improve your final yield without adding much more heat. also look into buying some mylar film to line your area to get the most from your light(s). it's your call about whether to put the plants on a table or not. the idea is just to get the light(s) as close as possible to the plants in order to offset the law of diminishing returns. you can either raise your plants up to the light, or you can lower the light to your plants... does that make sense? good luck and i hope this helps! | ||

![]() | Well, I haden't planed on using the entire space for grow space anyways......... That was part of my question, out of this 73 some feet, what parts do you think I should close off for vegative stage and flower stage, and how big of an area should I use for each one? ENTIRE ROOM Width = 7' Length = 9'11" Heigth = 6' Vegative Process Width = 2 Length = 2 Flowering Width = 4 length = 4 That would be an example..... Does this sound right to anyone? Or should I make one a little bigger or one a little smaller? I had hoped to make this room the entire grow chamber, Like ill keep EVERYTHING that is linked to marijuana in this room.
