![]() | i just bought 2 4x8 1/2" pressboard and a bunch of mylar.since i only have one really good plant out of first germ..i was thinking of making a single plant thing.to work out the kinks for main room.two questions.if im using compact circle flo.s (just light inside, fixture out)for sidelighting;how wide would a single plantroom have to be.i suppose what im really asking is how wide does a bushy plant grow?2nd,if i line all six sides with mylar(top & bottom)and get a 70w hps, would i still have adjust the light over top or could i just mount up top and let bounce off mylar.anything lost??thanx

![]() | Bushy plants can get VERY bushy. IMO, make the room 2x2. Any bigger and you will get a loss of light intensity. If you just have one plant, put that light right over the top of it and let it grow. You would still have to adjust the light, to get it closer to and farther away from the plants as needed...those 70 watt...you can get within 6-8 inches. You know all about that..keeping the light close as possible. As long as you don't have any light leaks and keep the door closed....no lumens should be lost. cy ![]() P.S. well duhhh.....you don't have to move the light...you could always move the plant up or down ![]()

![]() | Heyhey! how yall doin? Cue, about you rligt intensity.. do you have a light meter? i do and i have found out that in reality, from only 50 to 75 % of these lumens are projected on the plant(s).unless you place lights almost right on plant, which will cause burning. I recently tested my 65 watt GE plantgrow bulb, and intensity is 2800L, when the box label says 3200 or somthing like that. And my four 2foot groflos are spose to add up to 2200L from the box label, when in actuality my meter dont even read them @ 500L. And when my flos and GE grow bulb are turned on together, the meter reads 3500L... Is that many lumens decent enough to grow a plant or 2 , up to 12" then flower, and will bud be decent size? Just thaught id let u know my discoveries... unless my light meter is jank.. Its a pioneer geidus, that tests medium Moisture & Ph, light intensity from 0-4000L i believe. a single 3 action meter reader. it isnt digital it has a needle with gauge. Finally what type and brand of lights are you using exactly? Thanks Smoke oN
