Question
permalink

I have a 8'by 10' room with 8' cieling, no windows, and a small closet. I'm using the closet now as a nursey with three floresent, two lamp fixtures, with 4 coolwhite and two multi spectrum lamps. I covered the inside of the closet with the inside of aluminum foil, this is working very well(of course I have a fan too). I have a 400 watt HPS wall mount fixture for the main room. I am thinking of painting the room in semi-gloss white, including floor. Is this the best kind of paint? Any pointers would be much appreciated.
Thanks gaiterman

Yo Gaiterman
jus go fo a matt white that is supposed to be the best.
how much was u lookin to grow?
a 400 would be best suited to 3 by 3 maximum really fo a decent yield.

And get rid of that aluminum foil. Its reflection is uneven, and if you ever want to use a larger light you will find that you are burning your plants. Semigloss has some of the same problems. Flat white is best, and if your worried about humidity ask your paint dealer for a flat white that is suitable for all rooms, including the bathroom;it works great in my room.

Thanks this is what I was looking for. I realized after doing some more reading that I did'nt have enough lite for the room. I'll be adding two more 400 watt HPS fixtures to the room, and painting everything flat white. As far as how much, I'm not sure I'm just experimenting now, but probably won't be enough for my friends and I.
Thanks gaiterman
