![]() | my grow room is in my attic in my house. to hide it well i put some insallation (you know that yellow stuff that iches like hell) on the inside. here are my questions. 1.will it hurt my plants some how? 2.will it burn from 2 150 watt hps lights and 3 4' 40watt flos? 3. where can i get some black kinda heavy material that i could put velcro on. (you know to conceal my room if the insallation doesn't work) 4.(this doesn't have anything to do with constructing a grow room but) have any of you all tried hydro the stuff you can buy on the back of high times' cover. i imagine its no good. just curious. from fc420

![]() | That yellow stuff you are refering to is insulation! this stuff has fiber glass strands in it, fire resistant, but , seal your room, that stuff soaks dust, and the itchy fiber glass will go airborne with the fans and be all over the plants. I don't recommend it! Old or New house, very dusty? or clean? fresh air comming in / out, you'll need cool air, depending on your location's temp range. Humidity is another factor, i had mildew problems in my case. How hot/cold does it get during night and day? How much height? highonline!

![]() | bad spelling. huh? (im talking about myself) well here you go new house very little to no dust, no fresh air im thinking about getting some of thing for that. the temp is about 70 at the least. no humidity in the room. i have 4' of room for hieght but it goes at a huge slant. about 45 degree angle. about 4x5 of room. the fiber glass y\yellow stuff faces outside of my room(to keep it hidden.) ALSO i have a new problem. about security. the only hardware store in my town does not have any hps lights. but i can go down there and prepay and they will order some. how safe is this. i will pay by cash. dont have credit card .

![]() | Well, tell em you want to setup a basket ball court in your driveway and saw one of your friends with one and want the same., Stick to your gun. Find the youngest, dumbest person you can find in the store, they usually don't ask too many questions. A lot of people have these, and i figure it's better for the store to order it than yourself on the internet, at least you can pick it up there instead of having it delivered to your home! highonline Actually, i'm editing this post to ask, Are you in a small town where you know everyone in the hardware store personally, would they notice that your light is not visible from outside, nozy small town folks, arghhhh! If it's the case, internet purchase might not be a bad idea, E-bay has all sorts of lights, i'd recommend 600W plus myself, you know, anything worth doing, is worth doing to extreem! Try to get this shipped to a friends house away from your room. just precautions. highonline.

To make walls, Styrofoam sheets work well, light, easy to work with, duct tape heaven, it's already white, light proof, Fragile! etc... Nylon Tarps are good, Plastic to use underneath pools to prevent rocks from popping your liner . Aluminum Ducking, the king used for house furnaces with air circulation, you can get all sizes. Damaged press board at lumber yards would be cheap! Shower curtains at dollar store, ( This is the best and cheapest i have found so far for plastic sheeting ) Backside of christmas wraping paper! Anything available, cheaper the better, go with what is available around the house, i have used it all. PS: GET SOME DUCT TAPE, That company's stock must have gone up from my use alone! I still recommend the HPS light, can't blame you for wanting to start cheap to see if it will work, it's a very good idea, but if you get it going, you'll want to get 400+W HPS as soon as possible. Man am i stoned, i found a small bud of "Hash plant" from 2 months ago, and WOW.... "Sad" it's all gone now! why can't i make a short post? Damn.! high. - online.

![]() | Come one man.!!! If you plan on getting some good results out of this, you're going to have to do some inventing and go by the fly work, Look at what you have, run it thru your mind, and make it work. Plastic at walmat, black outside, white inside, by the foot with a staple gun, staple plastic along roof support beams, use duct tape to seal corners. Shower curtain rods hung with string from the top, etc... etc.... It ain't rocket science! The hard, but hellofalota fun, part is only starting.. Get ready! highonline
