![]() | My friend and I have recently taken on a small project to grow some of our own marijuana. We have decided on a specific indoor place to grow but the space is limited as are some of our options. I will run through all of the ideas we had for growing and will leave the rest for other more experienced growers to offer their opinions. My thanks in advance for any bit of information offered.... My first major question is the amount of space we need (the height the plant will grow) to grow 2 to 4 plants. I have read that some strains can grow 3 meters or taller, but I was wondering how tall the plants would get before we could actually harvest. I am not exactly sure of the amount of space that we have available but I'm sure it could not contain a few 3 meter plants. We will be growing these plants in an environment that is not heated also, so we will have to provide our own heat source. We want to grow the plants under a large box and have the artificial light, small fan, and heating pad inside of the box. Our time to tend to the plants is limited so we were thinking of putting the light and heating pad on a timer and only check the plants when watering, fertilizing, etc. Any suggestions on this set up and process would be greatly appreciated as it is still in the beginning stages.

![]() | If you flower early (at 12 to 18 inches) then your plants will end up about 3-4 feet tall. As long as you get a thermometer that you can read from the outside of the box, and check that ocasionally to make sure things don't get too hot/cold, and you provide a way for fresh air to get into your box via the fan, then your box setup should be great.

![]() | Wha! Now that's what I'd call a plant! You can flower your plant as soon as it's mature. Usually that's around the 12" mark. I like to grow my plants till about 2' then flower them. Plants can double and or triple in size during the flowering stage. My plants usually end up to be around 4' to 4.5'. (I do tie them down, so I am able to grow the plants for a longer period of time.)Give some more info on your set up, and I'll be able to help you out some more ![]() mr g ![]()

![]() ![]() | Keep this formula in mind: taller plants with bigger lights(1000 watts+) shorter plants with smaller lights. If you can handle the heat/space issues with a larger light, then by all means grow them tall. If you use a smaller light (600 or less, I use a 430) learn to grow them small and dense (pruning, bending, topping, twisting). Maximize yield by taking light penetration fully into consideration.
