Hi, i am setting up a small closet grow 4'x4'x7' the plan is to grow 4 plants, i am going to use a 600watt hps lamp i want to give the plants a high does of lumens some where between 20,000-10,000 lumens per sq foot. I will be using a u small extractor fan which extracts 160m3/hour which should be enough, i there will be holes at the top of the box to help with keeping the temperture down. i will have an intake vent in the center of the floor of the box to all the plants get equal amount of fresh air. i just hope a 600watt light will not creat to much heat. I will be lineing the are above the pot to the lamp in space age reflector argo mylar. i will be growing in 3 gallon pots. i will have an oscillating fan just above the top of the plantsto disperse the heat and i will have another blowing into the actual plants so that they are not weak a break. i cant think of anything else i will be using at the moment but if anyone can give me some advice i would be greatful this will be my fisrt time growing indoor i have a couple of very nice plnts growing outdoor at the moment just waiting for the to finnish flowering. i will be posting pics of my grow box when i start to build it. hope u can help me prefect my box so i can grow some good quality bud.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Sounds good a picture or two would be great, Grow Guide recomends 7500 lumens per square foot, my 600W gives out 90,000 lumens, dividing that into your 12 foot floor space would give you 7500 lumens per square foot. Rule for working out how powerful your extractor needs to be, meausure metres across by metres wide then by metres high times by 20 and that's how powerful your fan needs to be in metres cubed, not just for heat but for fresh air, looks like your fan is plenty good. I'm guessing it's a 4" extractor, try running ducting to the top of the light, if you can get a reflector that attatches to an extractor. Oscillating fan and mylar noth good and both will be found in my grow room, make sure you check humidity. Problem with good ventilation is the humidity goes right down, keep an eye on it. What sort of grow are you doing? Hydro or soil?

![]() | I will be growing in soil (this time anyway) trying to get it sort of organic as possible i will be using bio bizz soil mix and their range of nutrients, and any other organic nutrients i can find on line. i will be making my box in the next couple of weeks and start the grow when my outdoor grow is finnished. which should be soon hopefully because i cant wait to start growing indoors. bushsolo do u no where to get one of those reflector that attach to an extractor from in the UK? i had thought about the 600 watt high quality hps lamp from www.1-hydroponics.co.uk 92000 lumens, if any one can tell me any thing i have missed out or should add to the grow box i would be 4 ever greatful. i will post some pics when construction starts.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | 1-HydroPonics seem a little on the expensive, 3countieshydroponics.co.uk are the cheapest I've found on the web, they're overheads are low as they seem to operate out of their house, Went over one day since I wasn't patient enough to wait for delivery. The air cooled reflectors I mentioned are available from plantasia.co.uk they are called "Air Novas", if heat is gonna be a problem this is a solution.
