Hey everyone, i'm at the stage in building my second growroom. The first one had the walls covered in mylar. i was thinking that in this one i would paint the walls white. seeing as to mylar the room it would cost me $75-$100. what type of white paint should i use to get the best reflection of light? would it be egg shell, latex, matte. drywall primer...... ??? opinions would be very helpful.

instead of mylar on a roll have you looked at the cheapy emergengy blankets at walmart? they are only $2.00 ea. I used 2 of them to cover a 9'w x 7'h patio door and they work great. good luck, tinn

... otherwise the glossyness of others cause hot spots that not what you want...

go with an eggshell or flat white... al little gloss as you can...

but mylar is best, go to a party supply store. they often have mylar cheaper then in hydro stores. 75-100 is wack to me. it cost me 3$ canadian to cover 80sq feet....

thanks for the quick help guys. i'll probally paint the area white and use it for atleast the first part of a grow then look into getting some emergency blankets
