I picked up this $40 blower at Lowes as a back up, and after fireing it up tonight was favorably impressed with it.... I haven't found the cfm rateings (warnings to not stand in water and pee into it at the same time was about all the instructions covered), but the 3 speeds seem to give a nice choice in cfm's..... I seems to blow accross the room well, and the variable angle adjustment is nice.... Has anyone any experience with this model? Pic's next post, for some reason I can't this one??????

I called the service center for the spec's on the 655702 blower, and this is what they gave me; CFM's, and amp draw High - 2181 cfm; 0.85 amp Medium - 1746 cfm; 0.62 amp Low - 1282 cfm; 0.50 amp If I have any trouble shoving air through my scrubber, I'll use it as a primary, and use my current < 500 cfm as a backup.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | As I finished installing my scrubber today, I added an additional inlet for a second blower for backup… I’ll run a side by side test on it for the next week (as soon as I hook it the rest of the way up), and give my impressions…. I’ll end up hooking the loser up on a thermostat as a backup… If the Stanley blows away the competition, I’ll hook up a twin (bought another today that I can take back if it don’t), and use the current one I have to exchange air in the room my cabinets are in… If nothing else it will save my grow if the primary one takes a chit.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Ya know,,,, I just couldn’t wait,,,, I had to hook it up tonight. So far I haven’t noticed anything but marginal difference in db (especially on low, think it’s quieter). Anyway, here's a few pics of it prepared, and hooked up…. Kids r sleeping; I should be also……….. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

This is the competition; (pic at bottom) It’s an Active Air 465cfm blower hooked up in the same configuration as my last post…. If either blower has an advantage in the hookup, it would be the Active Air as the air has to pass it to get to the Stanley 655702 blower…. My 3 grow cabinets are set up in line with a shared 11” x 14” air duct return, (air entrance is 15- 2” round holes cut into the floor) to the blower area, and a cloning area underneath with a 4” round starter collar as a passageway…. Inside the blower area are three 400w, and one 175w ballast being cooled by the passive passage of air. The blower is venting a total volume of 160 cu ft…. My lights are enclosed in hoods with separate venting… The blowers are hung by bungies side by side, with dampers installed to prevent the backpressure from the scrubber chamber from entering the blower chamber, when one blower is operating the others damper is closed (except in last test where I ran them both together). Each test ran for at least one hour to make sure that the residual temperature from the last test wasn’t part of the results…. The results are as follows; Active Air 465cfm; Room temperature 76f Cabinet temperature 85f (difference of 9 degrees). Stanley 655702: Low speed; Room temperature 76f Cabinet temperature 83f (difference of 7 degrees). The Stanley was quite a bit quieter than the Active Air on low speed. Medium speed; Room temperature 76f Cabinet temperature 82f (difference of 6 degrees). The Stanley was as quiet as the Active Air on medium speed. High speed; Room temperature 76f Cabinet temperature 82f (difference of 6 degrees). The Stanley was a bit louder than the Active Air on high speed. The lack of difference in temperatures might be due to the limiting air intake, and exhaust area in each grow cabinet (about 48 sq inches). A combination of the Active Air 465cfm & the Stanley 655702 (run on high) with both dampers open; Room temperature 76f Cabinet temperature 81f (difference of 5 degrees). My conclusion (come to your own); The second Stanley will soon move to the space currently occupied by the Active Air, and the Active Air will be relegated to moving warm air out of the large room the cabinets are in.
