Greetings one and all,

I scored big time this week!

I have a flowering room/closet/chamber which is a free standing box; interior size is one meter square (39 inches I think) and 2 meters high. It's been fine for my last (first ) grow which had two tall flowering females, but now I'm one of those jingling dangling wiry old LST guys and the space is not as accommodating.


My seedling/early-veg area is a high closet above another closet. It is app. 6 feet long and 2 feet deep with about 3 feet of headroom. My plants; 4, in 4 rectangular 4 gallon buckets, were all lined up neatly in a row. I stood on a ladder and tended them and tied them all well. No problemo.


Now that they were bound for the flower room, I knew I needed some sort of table to get them high enough that I wouldn't have to bend over to take care of the little darlings . I don't bend as well as I once did.


While driving along and dwelling on the merits of square versus round and other important aspects of the table, I happened to spot three old office chairs out behind a dumpster. Myself; being no foreigner to an occasional dumpster dive, figured hell, I don't even need my boots for this one!

Here's where it gets interesting. These chairs were out behind the local Ayuntemento. That's like a town hall, municipal government services etc. As I was loading these three treasures into my car, an oficial de la policia came over to check me out. This being small town Spain everything is usually friendly.

We chatted a bit and he informed me that the chairs were from the police station. The high backed one was from the office of the chief himself!


Well hot dang! At this very moment, my four plants; Mary, Teresa, Cathy, and Jeannie (wishful thinking-unsexed as of yet) are stationed in the flower room on their one meter round table. And you guessed it; it is built on one of the swivel bases from the police department chairs! How's that for recycling!


Not only that, but I sit in the chief's own chair and roll up to the table to tend the plants! It works great. I have the ability to view each plant close up and from different angles. Tending, tying, manipulating, twisting and torturing are all a breeze like this.


Even though I can raise and lower the light as needed, I can raise and lower the chair and the table too. Thank you chief, for assisting me in my grow. I sure wish I could share with him the fruits of my eventual harvest, but I better not.

Bravo! Thats very creative. Who says you gotta spend a ton of money to get a good grow going? (not me) You should send an anonymous pic to the chief, show him what his retired chair is up to now.

Are we talkin' about the table and calling it an invention or are you somehow referring to the only other invention I came up with on this site HERE.That's just a single posting. If you have the time click on the thread name top right when you're there for a riotous thread!

Wow!

I'm almost afraid to present this to you all because you may think I'm trying to rub it in.... I'm not.

I'm truly sorry to hear all the complaining and griping about the government and their policies over there in my native USA.

So is it my fault that my government over here is civilized enough to:

Allow it's residents to sell/purchase specialized marijuana growing equipment, supplies and seeds?

Allow it's residents to grow and consume marijuana within their own privacy?

And last but not least.... supply wonderful equipment for free to it's growing populace (populace who grow)?

You've all seen my chairs and table base. Well check out what I found beside the very same Ayuntemento's dumpster:



It's a three bulb, hooded flourescent fixture with reflectors, ballasts and starters! All I need to add are the bulbs. Course I'll need to hook up some chains to hang it adjustably.... but you're looking at my new cloning, seedling, early veg light. I'm stoked!

A single tube flourescent fixture that you over there would pay peanuts for costs over $35 here.



You gotta love a local government who although they are spending our hard-earned tax dollars (Euros) on remodeling.... at least they are giving back to the community.... my community!
