![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Depending on the lights and methods of your garden these factors may take care of themselves. ![]() Get everything operational and let it run for 24 hours. Then check the temp and RH. Often the light itself will produce enough heat to reduce humidity. There are also kits that use some form of crystal to absorb moisture from an area, though they need to be replaced when used up. Smiles, BD ![]()

![]() | Thanx you guys for the replys, Maybe your right butterfly dreams I've been set up now for about a week and my plants are growing, but here in N.C. we've had alot of rain here lately (in the past week) and the temp. outside isn't all that high, around 70 to 73 degrees on a warm day so maybe I'll just wait a while to see if the conditons outside along with the lights inside change my conditions. Being down in the celler, ground moisture is a factor. THANX AGAIN GROW SOME GOOD N'S

![]() | Hi,What worked for me once in a damp GROWROOM was a system made from a shoe box.you take a new shoe box turn it over so that it lays upon it lit.And cut out 4 holes in the size of 1.5 in. in dia. along the sides, two on each long side of the box on the top of the box that was "the bottom" you cut out 4 slots in the size of 1.5in.long. Inside the box inside the lit you place 4-6 packs of the dry-out gel that comes with new shoes inside and cover with top of box that was "the bottom" and lay on floor of the GROWROOM the thick cardboard box is better. And never let the box get wet or stepped on.

![]() | Hey guys, Well you might have known it, everything has gone very well for me and my first indoor grow until now I've started flowering and the temp. is 75-79 deg. and the DAMN humidity has went back up on me,it's hanging out at about 70-75% I don't understand whats went wrong. I read that it needs to be less than 60% humidity for good buds. I'm stumped, de-humidifiers cost so much, and space heaters cost more to run than lights. I have a 14" fan blowing on them. 1.If I add another fan or maybe a bigger fan would this help? 2.I'd try the gel thing if someone would tell me where to get some. 3.Is 70-75% humidity really that bad how much will this effect my buds? All sugestions welcome GROW SOME GOOD N'S

![]() | 70- 75% is not that bad. Of course 60% would be better. Go to K-Mart or Wallgreens or something and ask for a dehumidifier for your closet. Theere are buckets, like the size of an ice cream bucket, that have a bag of cristals inside. They should be availlable somewhere around your area. Get a couple. You will need to replace the content every now and then. I think someone told you this already. Important: When you harvest your buds, share them with all your friends, so they too start to grow their own. Share the Kind!

![]() | Hey Metalkino, Your right, someone mentioned this, but didn't quiet describe it as well as you just did THANX since my last post I added a heat lamp under my hood (not to the plants) and this helped its now around 60-65%. As for sharing, I'm planning on it. I've enjoyed this grow so much but only share the grow room with one of my best friends who I have grown plants with outside for many years. He knows about the room but I haven't shown him whats in it yet but when I do Its gonna blow his mind because the plants we've grown outside don't even hold a candle to the ones I've got going now I'll post his reaction in the break room. THANX again GROW SOME GOOD N'S

![]() | You could try DampRid or DryRite... or even try looking for Calcium Carbonate by itself.... I think the dryrite would be best as you just hafta bake it in an oven to refresh it and its re-useable many time over... Other than that a space heater or even a gas heater. Gas heaters dry the air out really quick tho....
