Thumbs up 12vdc muffin fans (computer) power supply

When considering my air circulation and cooling options - I liked the idea of using computer fans (12v DC muffin fans) for their stealth and size, but didn't like the idea of using a 200W power supply from an old computer - seemed a little excessive - and I want to be as energy efficient as I can.

I ended up using the power supply from an external hard drive case mounted to a 4 port computer fan hub (the type that allows you to adjust the fan speed).

Since it actually worked without having to jury rig anything, I thought I'd share the results.

That's basically what got me through my first grow! It did the trick, that's for sure. Good idea on using a external HD case power supply, it would almost certainly draw less current than a full PC PS...
