not counting seeds and only running 400W, I've spent in the neighborhood of about $700 so far with nutes, soils, lights, timers, etc...and like Daltron said every time I leave the house to buy a little somthin-somethin it always seem to be another hundred bucks

jesus i shudder at the prices i've spent... first crack was 1000 usd easy...then i bought a new box to put all this stuff in...after buying the insulation, meters, light, weather stripping, glue guns, nutes, buckets, pumps, rubber maid containers.(i have a million if i have one) duct tape, reflective tape...two humidifiers (one warm, one cold) and the aquarium for my veg...oh yeah don't forget fans and ventilation (gotta purchase one more actually)..jesus....at least 2K...probably closer to 3...don't forget airstones, air pumps, hosing.....(Groan inside) this all better be worth it! (laugh) also getting a digital camera...$20 piece of equiptment...probably one of the cheapest things i've gotten...just got it tonight actually..going to post some pictures and ask for help....i want these two chambers to be perfect.....

AMEN! electricity is crazy expensive....the most costly part of my grow as well....

Talking Lets see..

If we are talking TOTAL spent through the entire time i've grown i'd say probably over 2k easy.

Sheesh I just spent $500 last week on a fantech fan, a few e&F trays, some constant ready meters, calibration solution, & GroRocks.

But seeing as how mrs st0ney and I smoke about 2 OZ a month we are comming out ahead for sure. 2K of bud would only last about 3 or 4 months up here in the PNW, so growing for 4 years on that same 2k is WAY worth it for us.

plus, i have total control of what goes into my and I dont have to wait hours for a dealer to call me back and sell me some subpar/over priced seeded brick weed.

As long as I smoke i'll be growing.

Tis expensive...
permalink

Cost is the only thing holding me up right now.

Here's my shopping list..

1000 HPS ballast, reflector, hortilux bulb, and a MH conversion bulb roughly $550.00
5 gallon buckets 7x $6.50
dual out air pumps 7 x $35
ppm/ph/ec meter = big bux maybe 200.00?

So an estimated 1000.00 not including reflective table, mylar, hoses...
Jesus.. anyone any advice for a cutting costs with a bubbler system?

I picked $1-2K but that's for construction alone ($1,000 on lights and thanks to cardboard, milk crates, scrap lumber, etc. only about $3-400 on the rest). Including electricity, soil, nutes and replacement bulbs it's well over $2K. Like most everyone else, it has way more than paid for itself.

About US $200, Give Or Take $20
permalink

I've spent about US $200. This includes a second cabinet ($40) for the clone supplying mother, two fans ($13 ea), two 2,900 45w GE CFLs ($18), various growing mediums, a wireless temp/RH meter ($50), a cordless drill to facilitate the contruction ($30), razors, chains, rings, hooks, etc. My list, if completed, would probably involve about 50 discrete items. Some are only a few bucks but boy, those add up.

But the way I figure it, I've "blown" about 1/2 oz of good bud on this and I'll reap a few oz every 2-3 months. That's a good choice, financiall, in any man's math. Besides, I take the position that it's always a good idea to back away from drugs so you can have a clear perspective and decide if you want to return rather than doing it forever out of habit. There is something to be said for being sober. Believing otherwise, IMO, is just as myopic as thinking it's good to be stoned 24/7.

While I actually like my dealer, I think it's pure hypocricy that the government can complain that marijuana is a gateway drug (and tobacco and alcohol isn't?) and yet they will break your balls if you try to cut out the one person who is most likely to introduce you to those harder drugs.

Cheers [Splif]
