info wanted on new grow area

a friend wants to grow in his basement bath room , he is limited to funds .so i was thinking would 3, 4 foot flo lights work double bulbs . the temp in the winter stays around 60 he has boiler heater.so a little heater would be needed .
the bath room size is standard basement bathroom with no tube or shower in it.or would it need more light. im tryin to help him out he a little slow but likes his bud

Yes, you could grow solely with flouro shot lights, but your not going to have a great yield...If you are limited on funds i'd say to go for a few shop lights (4' flouro's) in addition to a few Compact Flourescents (the twisted looking, energy saving lightbulbs...)

The temperature sounds fine, the lights will probably keep it pleanty warm.

I would definatly investigate compact flouros before using full size ones. You can get some nice yeild off of a good compact flouro setup.

hows it goin'? ok so the compacts are a good i dea but how much funage do u actually have b/c i just got a 250 watt hps (good for flowering and beg) for 98.60 with s/h included. the site is on here somewhere but i think its called inside sun worth a try and will make a better quallity bud IMO but then heat becomes a little bit of an issue

well its for a friend im spending the money so i want to go the cheapest route ive got my own grow at my house i just wanna help him out cause he is limited on funds

Screw that!!! Don't get the 250 watt from inside sun.....You could get more light for cheaper here....You'd just have to get 2 or 3, but it's still cheaper!! Remember, it's not the amount of plants that determine how much light's needed, but rather how big your space is!!! How big is your space?? You may need to get some wood & build a small space so your light is more efficient. Cheap 150 watt HPS lights. These are WAY cheaper than I've seen on most sites.
