![]() | Hello, This is my first post here. I have recently acquired a new place and a great growroom in the basement completely built into the side of the wall. It is covered with wood pannels and lots of stuff leaning against it. It took me forever to find it. The measurements are 9ft tall, 8ft long, 7ft wide. I bought a 430watt hps system today on impulse and was told it is enough. (I doubt it). I'm cleaning it and spraying for bugs in the next day or so. I'd like to know what people would recommend for this kidn of setup? Additionally I can afford whatever lights may be needed. I have a hydroponics system that can hold up to 100 plants. I'd like to maximize this space and lighting(More be greatly appreciated. Possibly a multi teir system? I'd pots / hydro under same roof? I like the height as a means of ventilation / cooling (to some degree). Btw how much light is normally required for an 8ft by 7ft growspace. Is this considered large? This message may not be the smoothest, however I hope you'll get my drift. Thanks, needed most likely). Any advice, suggestions or tips would

![]() | Hi crmx that sounds a pretty good sized room an a 430 would problly create a bit of drop off on the sides personally on that area i would look at 3- 430s an one of them bieng a metal halide to complement the spectrum paint yer walls with a plain white emulsion for the best surface. the size of the room will still need some ventilation i doubt that the head hieght would be sufficient to dissipate the heat, can you create sum sorta throught draught in there ? if not u will def need a fan prefereably a linear to give your ladies sum air to breathe an feed upon. a system that holds up to a 100 plants thats ok for loads of small nugz but if you want large an quality colas then u will need to get sum single pot systems an aroun about 12 plants would be mo than sufficient usin bubbler or a similar type of technology should give u some Exceesive yields Adder.

![]() ![]() | You couldnt quite SOG 100 plants under a 430. 50-60 Id say at 4 per sqf. 12-14 square feet at most for a light this small. Like Adder said, about 12 normal sized plants. To make the most of it, build a flower room or get walls to contain the light and maximize the soil volume by using square or squarish containers. Smokin
