Hi - I've been considering my options for stealth closet growing. I decided that growing in the entire huge closet just wouldn't work...if anyone walked in there they'd see the plants but I was thinking about a trash-can grow. I've heard about it, but it just doesn't seem like it'd work very well. For starters I'd imagine you couldn't grow many plants, and is it even possible to use florescents inside a small garbage can? Also, plant maintainance seems like an issue as well. If anyone has experience with this type of grow and can set me in the right direction it'd be much appreciated.

hum that's new to me, but I would suppose it could work. you do mean keeping it in the closet right? and just putting the dirt in the bottom and use the can as the planter? sounds interesting, but if you try don't forget to put holes in the bottom for drainage.
using flouros wouldn't be that good IMO cause you would have to put them inside the can to get close enough and that would take up the room. I would use at least a 100 watt HPS light above it.
use a white can so it will reflect, but also watch for the heat. I am not sure how a plastic can will hold heat. also how big a can you thinking?
maintaining the plant takes some time, but not too much if all goes right. just water and ferts with TLC and it shouldn't take too much. hope I helped some?

ha ha i had some plants growing in my trash can like a couple of wees ago when i found them they were at the bottom feeding of trash i guess and they were stechin to the highest point of the trash can trying to reach for ligth and when i took them out they died

so its not a good idea

i would use V ScrOG in a trash can.

In a 30 gallon can you should be able to get 4 plants in it maybe more depending on the size of your plants.

You would have to use HID lights and have good ventilation.

this is only a theory. i have not tested it or even seen it done this way. I have seen a V ScrOG and believe it would work in a trash can.

the round screen with the light suspended in the middle. it just makes me think about a trash can.
