![]() | Hi: I have a Jamaican strain that grows very good outdoors where I live. I just harvested and finished curing, and the result was a great tasting kind bud with a strong high. I would like to produce a perpetual harvest of this Jamaican to keep me and my friends happy. I figured I need about 1.5 onces per week. I think I can get 1.5 onces per plant so I need to have 8 plants flowering at the same time to harvest one every week. My plan is to create a 'cloning chamber' using flourescents, where I can root clones, start seeds and keep mother plants. The space I have is 3' X 4'6" X 3'(high). I plan to root clones in this chamber on 18 hrs of flouros and then move them outdoors where is 12/12 year round, and place them under a 'translucent green house type roof' to protect from rain. I can keep 8 to 10 plants very comfortably in this space. If I bring a clone out every week, after 8 weeks I should be harvesting a plant every week, right? Should I make the chamber taller that 3'? I could make it a bit higher. How many flouros should I use? What wattage? What tipe of exaust fan should I use? Would two computer fans do the job? I want something very quiet. Should I have a intake fan as well? What do you guys think of my plan? Any suggestions? Keep sharing the Kind!

![]() | Hi Ya Metalkino Firstly i must say how lucky u r to have a constant 12/12 An your clonin room sounds just about perfect, if you use compact fluros/ energy saving bulbs,P.A.R bulbs they come in various size watts from 11 - 23 if u can only get 11 watts then 10 of these will be ample for veggin up to about 18 ins with out a problem an computer fans would be excellent as the pars dont give of a lot of heat anyways, and r fantastic for veggin with as they give virtually the exact spectrum that the plants need to grow with. ![]() | Thanks for your input Adderpuff. However, I'm not so sure I can get those P.A.R. bulbs you talk about (I live in Central America). Could I use regular 3' or 4' fluorescent tubes? If so, how many? Could you explain in detail what P.A.R. bulbs are, so I can try to find them? Also, you wrote: 'if u can only get 11 watts then 10 of these will be ample for veggin up to about 18 ins with out a problem' What do you mean by '18 ins'? Do you mean 18 clones? or 18 hours? Thanks again! This is the greates growing site on the Net!

![]() | Hi Metalkino for sure u can use fluros 3 or 4 footers will be fine how many is a finer point to be asked in lighting persomnally i would use somewhere between 10 -15 tubes an rig them so they could be switched on maybe 3-5 first for rooting purposes then the rest for veggin an that would still be good enough to get the plants to 18 inches for flowering purposes. but then hieght dont matter to much for you doin it outside. P.A.R. bulbs are a compact fluroescent bulb the ballast is built into the base of the bulb an looks like its made from a white ceramic, a 11 watt bulb gives of the same amount of light as a 60 watt ordinary bulb so they are really enegy efficient but the really important bit is the spectrum on a graph its virtually identical to the spectrum that big C needs to grow an the green the leaves go when usin these bulbs WOW its the greenest green ive ever seen so healthy and theleaves grow to excessive widths also the stems Wickedly strong.
