![]() | i have recently acquired an extra, small room, with a closet that can be used for whatever i please. ofcourse iwant to grow some killer bud, but have a small dilemna: im not sure how to set it up. i can only have one 600 watt hps with son agro bulb. i have two options i can either use the closet or the room. if i decide to use the closet which is only about 9 sqft ill probably have heating problems. However if i decide to use the room, which is about 64 sqft with two windows, i would have to utilize it in such a manner that i could use the one hps and not waste any resources and deal with the odor problem most efficiently since i live in an apartment building. Im leaning towards using the room instead of the closet, but only have one hps and want to grow using the soil method and do not want to consider any hydro or sog or anything else. I want to have atleast 10 plants and would greatly appreciate some feedback on how i should go aobut this little adventure. (For example will i have to build another small room (16 sqft), with a growing area of perhaps 12 sqft inside of the room, to deal with the odor problems (ozone generator) . thanks for any feedback

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | To make the most use of your available light you might try starting with the light distribution pattern from your lamp/reflector combo. Fire up the fixture and observe how the reflector "throws" the light when hung about 18-24" off the ground. You will find it distributes the light in a rectangluar pattern, the long part perpendicular to the lamp. That should give you a good footprint for your grow room dimensions. 12-15 SqFt (3'X 5'?) is about the perfect area for a 600W SON/AGRO lamp. Remember, for optimum results replace your SON/AGRO lamp about every 12 Months. Dont EVEN test your light without hanging something over the windows to block the light! HID lights are pretty obvious thru an open window. You dont want your little secret to get out do you? Grow safe Grow smart Grow lots!! Peace. Harrad
