Hey everybody, This is my construction thread for my small to medium size grow cab. I am making this as inspiration form Buzzzd's mini, Rev .DOS cab, Brijizacks writings, and a few other guys out there. ill start off with the basics, what it will be made from, and the costs, ill update as i purchase and build just incase anybody wants to follow me ![]() HAVE: C3 cabinet from HD - $70 ![]() i went to home depot looking for a c24 or something similiar but not muhc bigger or smaller, problem is my HD doesnt carry too many different cabinets, so i ended up with this c3 the dimensions for the growable space are approx. 29HX23WX23D which i will split into a vegging chamber and a flowering one. and teh drawer is removed to maximize my space(stll havent decided how much space to use for vegging) the cabinet also does nto come with a back or top, so i need to go buy some wood for that and also to make my manifold for my electronics and teh wall between veg and flower 150W hps floodlight from Lowes - $80 ![]() small lasko fan from lowes - $13 ![]() coleman replacement globe from wal mart - $10 4 " aluminum air duct from lowes - $9 ![]() air duct pieces: 4" elbow 6" to 4" piece 4" ductboard tab total: $10 ![]() havent looked up prices yet for that stuff, but im off to pick it up today and ill make sure tp update it ![]() Last edited by the_END; 10-29-2006 at 07:20 PM..

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | http://www.gardenscure.com/420/plant...-grow-cab.html you wuld be better off getting a metal cab. the one i posted is $$ but for that you get almost 2x grow ariea, electronics can mount any ware on the steel. can run a 400w lite, its not flamable wood and if you find out that this hobie is not for you at least you have a nice tool storage locker rather than some thing that that may end up as fire wood

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | looking good the_END but you might fine out that you will not need that 45 for your cool tube as i remember buzzzd took his out. so do a test fix and make sure you are going to need it and keep it coming i like to watch people build their own cabnets GS420

Get aluminum tape, that stuff is the ultimate in the world of tape - great for high temperature and will never let go. Works beautifully for attaching mylar to the walls too.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi the_END, Everything is looking Great man, a couple of small recommendations, If you will turn the elbow around for the cool tube and used the crinkled end on the globe end you will get a better fit and the 4" hose can be worked around the other end just fine. The other thing is that sometimes things look great on paper, But when you start fitting them in you find they don't always work out. I think with the depth you have in the cab the elbow will work, But since you don't have it together yet, I would suggest doing a lot of Test fitting and being SURE everything fits into it's final place, It can save you a lot of fancy language and do overs.. Good luck man, You are DEF going in the right direction..

![]() | thanks man, i know EXACTLY what youre talking about,ha. ive run into that problem so many times on other projects and since i dont have muhc experience with this sort of thing, i decided maybe i could temporarily get it set up but only to a point where i could test out different arrangements in a sense to get the most efficiant cab for what i have ![]() going out to get a 2 and 4 inch bit right now for the ventilation holes and the duct
