The final cabinet is 2' x 4' x 7'. The inside grow height is about 5 1/2'. The bottom power and ventilation module raised the grow area 8" off the floor. I find this 8" rise very nice for working. The total cost seemed high. Even with using materials from my old cabinet, the total came in at about $300. The silent bathroom fan was $100. The finished cabinet can be disassembled and is somewhat moduler. There are several light trap ideas that may be helpful to the reader. Photos Show: Plans and finished elements

Thank you Ripcord and SaintBebo. I've eliminated all light leaks and have populated the interior:
I hope to add a little oder control using an activated charcoal/carbon air filter. The filter comes in a 16" x 48" form. The power and exhaust area on the top of the ventilation module can be partitioned with plywood. The resulting exhaust area can be capped with a charcoal filter. That's the plan.

Thanks for your question, marx2k. I meant to say that the plywood that I got was warped. I normally don't expect quality, outdoor, plywood to warp or be warped as they are made with alternating grained layers. I know of two other materials and one construction technique that may not warp. The two materials are as follows: Melamine is composition material coated with white plastic. The white cabinets you see in home improvement stores is usually melane. Composition or particle board is the material utility shelves and cabinets are made of {see edit}. I don't think either of these warp although composition if unprotected from water will disintegrate. Poof there goes the cabinet! The construction technique that I considered using I'll call sandwiching. Create your wall and door material by sandwiching styro-foam between two 1/8 inch plywood sheets. Similar to a hollow door but with foam instead of air. Melamine is tough to work with. Composition board disintegrates. Sandwiching, though originally planned, was more work that I wanted to put in.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | WeedzEatRp, the bottom power and ventilation module is only a box with a light trap. The light trap allows me to pass an extension cable from inside the cab to outside. This cable powers the fan, meter, and pump. The cable plugs into any power outlet. I actually plug it into an available outlet in the top module. The transformer and timer for the lighting system are in the top module. In fact, the first post has an Assembled Cabinet picture that shows the power cable directed upward through the top module. I rerouted the cable since taking the picture. Thanks for your question. I hope this helps.

Carbon and expanded metal screen are about 8.5 in x 16 in. They should be replaced every 60 days.
