Sentinal EVC-2 & Sentinal CPPM-1

       EVC-2 $300 CPPM-1 $640
Owned the EVC-2 for 1 year- CPPM-1 for 5 days
Pros: when used together you have perfect enviroment control.
CONS: You need to purchase a Sentinal PXM-1 power expander if your
going to use an air conditioner, in line fans and normal fans, because
it will pop the breaker in the EVC-2. So your lights will be on and no
cooling or air movement. Very bad for air cooled shields that are close
to plant canopy. Also sometimes when the shift accures to turn on
temp/humidity mode and turn off the Co2 The Co2 does not turn off but
instead teaches itself to turn on when the temp/humid mode is on.
This means waisted Co2. Very bad. Plus sometimes It would miss its
cycle to turn off the Co2 and remain on for God knows how long, and
I would come home and temps would be in the high 90s and my tank
would be empty. The plants suffered heat burn and Co2 poisoning.
I would say that these Teck-Problems should have been worked out
before they put on the market. I have $ 1600 invested and right now
I cant even use it cause Im scared to death to leave it on while Im
away. Thats not right. That $ 1600 should have bought that peace of mind.
I called Tech support at Growgps.com and left a message so hopefully
                    they call back soon.
                    UPDATE__UPDATE__UPDATE
sinse talking with the tecks they told me to plug the Co2 generator into the PPM-1
and plug the PPM-1 into the temp connecyion on the EVC-1,not the Co2 spot on the
EVC-1 this will let the PPM-1 know that the fans are on and dissable the C02. Now
the controller works perfectly. Pesci, thank you for your careing insite. Everything is now
fine with my garden. I have a charcoal filter hooked to an inline fan witch runs through
my lights and out through a window box. They sai to unhook the duct work from the lights
to the window box and this will stabalize my co2 from going up and down. Just let the charcoal scrub
the air. this contains the room. And then to hook my lights seperatly. Run duct work from the
box to the lights and then back to the box and this will aircool the lights without exhausting
expensive air. Sinse I have an air conditioner this will keep area cool. So all in all Im now totally
satisfied with my investment. I informed the tech that the directions should say to not plug the
CPPM-1 into the spot marked Co2 on the EVC-1 but should rather plug it into a temp/humid
spot so the CPPM-1 reads that the fans are on and disable the Co2. He said it could be confusing
and He was very helpfull and knowledgable. Im so happy now. Total enviro control means
bigger and juicier harvests. YYYEEEEEEE HHHAAAAAAAA.

I am currently using 78watts of CFL but will be doubling this tomorrow. - 156 total watts on one plants. Approx when should I start flowering? I know the answers arent solid but just not sure if it is something I should be worrying about anytime soon. Thanks!

Okay, I'm on day 54 of flowering my big bud and the colas are pretty dense. I use IRB/dutch pot/hempy buckets and don't have a hygrometer. It feels drier in my cab then in my small house but since the weather started cooling it's been feeling noticeably wet and humid(outside the cab) when the light runs. The moisture accumulates everywhere and is nasty, I open the window but it's only getting cooler and cooler outside. I don't have 200 bones to drop on a dehumidifier, and I've been parting my colas and turning up the oscillating fan IN the cab and hoping no mold starts. I've seen some DIY's like..making them out of air conditioner units and refrigerators...anyone know a solid cheap way to bring it down?

The moisture accumulates everywhere and is nasty, I open the window but it's only getting cooler and cooler outside. I don't have 200 bones to drop on a dehumidifier, and I've been parting my colas and turning up the oscillating fan IN the cab and hoping no mold starts. I've seen some DIY's like..making them out of air conditioner units and refrigerators...anyone know a solid cheap way to bring it down?

I'm about to begin building my second cab, i probably going to get a premaid cab and divide it up for veg and flower, what I'm thinking though is if the ambient temp, around this cab get get down in the twenty's, is flower on top of veg and using the heat from veg, to keep the flower chamber warm while lights off. This wont be a big set up, i want to use either 2 150 cmhs or 1 250 cmh for the flower, and probably a combinations of cfls and mh for veg. Any advise on weather or not the veg lights can keep both chambers warm when the flower lights are out?

will i overload circut?

So im moving from a 400w to a 1000w bulb. Im clueless when it comes to electrical, and want to be sure im not overloading or settin up a fire. The house is old and i will be using two different outlets, one for my 1000w bulb and ballast and other for fans and such. Unless i get two 1000w bulbs i wanna have one on each outlet and a 400w mh thrown in the mix if its even worth it.

I'll have one stanley blower, two fans, a heater probly for nights as it gets very cold (i might make two flower rooms and when one goes off the other is on to distribute heat to help and keep power on 24hrs a day with no odd 12 day mass power use and help heat the area)

One outlet is right by the power box or breaker box whatever its called, and the other is on the other end of the room about 12' away

how much can i put safely on an outlet..and do i need to do any tests or checks to be aware of what it can carry?

This grow was relatively without incident until autumn swept in hard and I learned that they just won't ripen if temps are in the mid-50s at night. I had a heater running, but not hard enough. Cranking it up worked and now they are finished. This bud is at 100 days, the rest are not quite there yet. It looks and smells fantastic, can't wait for the main haul (I am hoping in about a week). Not sure what the extra-long season will do for it, if it has harmed or somehow improved it, but initial smoke tests are fantastic and I am very anxious to give it a proper cure. Hopefully I can keep it around that long...

Before the trim:

it is hard to photograph but the purple is actually more blue in person:

and yet the back side of the bud was way more lime green than purple:
