![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Lettuce does not flower in response to photoperiod. Cool temperatures help prevent it from flowering, and warm temperatures help to induce flowering. You don't want lettuce to flower. It can go for a long time without flowering if you keep the temps low. It's happy with low to moderate light levels and has low nutrient requirements. ![]() penguin

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | If you have the room and your temps are right, growing lettuce in seedling flats would be a perfect use of the "penumbra" of your lamp. Think what one pays for a bag of "Mixed Baby Greens" in the grocery store. Buy a mix of seed packs and sow them in a moistened loose soilless mix in a seedling flat. Lettuce seeds are tiny so cover them slightly if at all. As the seeds sprout and grow harvest as needed. Then you have a reason for buying those grow supplies the next time someone should ask. ![]()
