Thumbs up Germinate your breakfast cereal!

Exactly like it sounds anyone else ever tried germinating your breakfast cerial

no seriously. It has to be special cereal obviously. You need live raw seeds. I found this stuff at my health food store with raw buckwheat groats in it, among other raw seeds. Directions say to soak it overnight, and rinse it off in the morning, and put your soymilk/ricemilk on there... Needless to say I was skeptical.

But I tried it and...

They sprout! Tons of little tiny taproots form! All the nutritional elements of the seed become available for your body to digest easily

It tastes soooooo amazingly good! Like its alive!

Anyone else eat sprouted foods? I always buy sprouted grain breads these days. Just taste 100% better.

Now I bet sprouted hempseed would be pretty nutritional source

check it out maybe they have it The stuff i got was called dancing berries cereal... Just a bunch of buckwheat groats, rasins, walnuts pumpkin seeds cranberrys goji berries etc. I'm sure you could buy raw buckwheat groats and mix it yourself too It might be in the refrigerated section?

I just took a picture of some cereal I started germinating I'm gonna put it in a warm place tonight and see if more of the seeds crack and get tiny taproots than last time

Beats the heck out of any other cereal I've ever had

You can buy sprouted grain bread products in some supermarkets. A loaf of sprouted grain bread weighs more than a brick, and tastes like one, too.

Alfalfa sprouts are great in salad, and will break up concrete! (and fix nitrogen, too).

Reminds me of when I was 5 or so a friend & I ate a packet of seeds.... then we wondered if the plants would grow!

Burner, you're gonna turn into a plant!

Ya this has been going on for a while now. I live in a pretty "hippy" area so I've been hearing about it for a long time. Most supermarkets aren't going to carry these types of grains. However, whole foods is pretty much everywhere and you can find this sorta stuff.

May I suggest sprouting some flax seed. mmmmmm
Ya have fun with it Burner, just get as many types of grains and sprout em up!
